The dish is actually poutine, pronounced "poo-teen" or "poo-tinn". It sounds kind of nasty to me too. There are no extensive lists of award winning Canadian chefs, in spite of Eastern Canada's French heritage.

I think they edited the vid since I first saw it, because I distinctly remember the blonde one yelling "poontang" into the speaker box, and getting confusion from the food worker.
