Ever since Disney bought Lucasfilm, the question has been raised about whether there could eventually be a Star Wars TV series on ABC, given that network is also a Disney company.
A t the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour today, new network president Channing Dungey was asked if an ABC Star Wars series would eventually happen – especially given the Disney synergy that has resulted in series like the short-lived Muppets show from this past year and Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, which is going into its fourth season.
Replied Dungey, “As a fan I would absolutely love to say yes,” before saying, “The conversations with Lucas… We have had conversations with them we will continue to.” She added, “I think it would be wonderful if we could extend that brand into our programming.”
