? about old and new Nautilus tank

Just took out a fairly new but never used Nautilus and it wouldn't screw on to my Sig mini. However, my old, used Nautilus screws down on it just fine. Anyone have any idea what's up with that?

There may be an issue with the threading on the base or it may not be an authentic Nautilus. See if you can return it for an exchange. If you can't I may have a resource for you where you can buy a separate base, albeit rare, and attach it to your tank. That will save you money from having to buy another tank.

Yeah I was going to suggest that after I got a reply to see if they can get an exchange first. The bases are out of stock at the moment.

I had one mini that wouldn't screw in properly. I cleaned the bottom connector really well (forget how I did it - alcohol, soap/water?), and I remember using something (maybe very fine grit sandpaper - I forget), and then it screwed in fine. There was some slight burring on the connector intially.

It's authentic and I got it cheap on Black Friday from MFS for $12.76. Turns out it was what @AmandaD mentioned because after cleaning the threads real good and brushing them down it finally screwed all the way on. I wouldn't exactly call it buttery, though.
