Adding capacity to orchid V2 clone?

I really like this tank, it works nice especially since I figured out how to fill and prime with no leaking. But the 3ml capacity is kinda killing me lol. I don't even use this tank that often (well right now I do but that's because I'm out of cotton to be able to wick my rda ATM, but that won't be for much longer) but even when I only use it a couple times a day, I'm filling it probably every other day. Granted, I'm running dual coils and it ohms out around 0.69, I know that has something to do with juice consumption. But is there anything I can do to give it more capacity? Maybe a tank that is the same height but wider so I don't need to buy a new chimney? If not that, a taller chimney and tank? Only paid $7 shipped for this, so I don't mind swapping out parts. I want a pyrex tank anyway, this comes with a plastic tank.

I'm actually thinking about trying it with a single coil, since I'm getting a vw mod soon I can run it on a 1.2ohm coil and up the wattage a bit, and will still likely see less juice consumption than I do now.

I switched over to single coil, 1ohm. I stuffed the air hole and juice channels of the empty side with cotton. Aside from the fact that all I have for wicking material is cotton balls and the flavor is not that awesome, its working pretty good. I'm thinking this will slow her down from the juice hog she was.

I will be honest man. mine was a v2 and the build deck annoyed me, the chamber flat pissed me off.. it is in the drawer of failures.

I went to the Ov2 from a kfl+. I never once got the kfl+ to work right even after trying everything I found online. So I found the Ov2 on eBay for $7 shipped and ordered it. Tried all the different filling tricks I read about and got nothing but dry hits or leaking, so I decided to simplify things. I covered both air holes and the drip tip, filled it and replaced the fill screw, then I flipped it while keeping all 3 holes covered. Then I immediately threw it on my rig, primed it and started vaping. For awhile I was priming too much and would get some leaking that would eventually stop. Then I started only priming it twice and it doesn't leak at all anymore. I've been criticized on here for my filling method, but its never failed me once. I like the build deck on the Ov2 MUCH better than the kfl+. This tank is a gem for the price IMHO. But hey, different strokes for different folks.

If you look at the orchid modification thread there are examples of up to 10ml orchids (or somewhere around that). That massive one was done just to do it and probably not used more than a few times for the hell of it but there are a number of examples from 5ml and up.

I run them with https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10009751/1918600-replacement-chimney-for-orchid-v4-rebuildable and https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10009751/2047405-replacement-acrylic-tank-for-orchid-v4-rta Gives me exactly 5ml volume.
I also do single coil, blocking airhole on outside of unused side, and leading half the wickends onto the unused side. Gotta lift the coil high enough above the airhole to reduce leaks.
I blocked the unused air hole from both ends by stuffing cotton in it. I will look for those parts on eBay unless ft has them in their US warehouse but I will still compare prices with eBay. Lately I'm not finding as many good deals on eBay as I used to though.

Best to leave a few fibers on the outside, in case you want to experiment with bigger air-flow. Retrieving wads of cotton from the whole airflow can be a b****. Just a bit does fine.

Actually, with both air holes open this is not an MTL tank but with one closed I can MTL just fine and prefer it that way. IMO rdas are for DL and tanks should be for MTL. Nothing against people that DL with tanks, I just prefer MTL for tanks myself. So I don't mind having one air hole permanently closed. I'm fairly certain I could get the cotton out if necessary, either dig it out with a scrap piece of kanthal or wet it and wait for it to expand enough to pull it out. But I'm not gonna worry about it until I actually want to take it out, which right now I don't.

Also I didn't stuff one piece of cotton the whole way through the air hole. I stuffed one piece in from the coil side and another piece in from the outside.
