Advice on mech box

I'm looking for some advice on a mech box. I'm not looking to spend much I had a noisey cricket and loved it til the threading started giving me a problem. So now I'm in market for something. I saw a ohmega bmf box on ebay for 40$ not sure if it's a good box. And I don't really have money to go and buy a tugboat or hexohm or someshing like that. Any suggestions would be great

How about just fixing upgrading the cricket?? Fat daddy vapes has the parts I think.

Here's my opinion. At the $50 or less price point.. Get the mod you like best. Quality wise ALL of these mods in this group are about the same. The difference is looks and features you prefer to have.

Theres a new version of the noisy cricket that can be switched between parellel and series, id imagine the price range is similar

The good old Hammond box. Cram a voltmeter or an on/off switch but it will never go out of style. Like that it has a mitec button instead of a dome button. And you could do worse than a red one which works with pretty much everything.

definitely no shame in a hammond box the interior and mofset look really clean, the 510 connections a fat daddy so id be carful with protruding 510's but other than that should be a work horse

Hammond and Kennedy. That's a killer combo man. Classic as well. Color is actually good in my mind. It will look good with anything on it. I can see that Kennedy with black cap on top of the red box. Clean looking interior. Good deal.

I love Kennedy. This is 24 with "grizzly" sleeve and "chubby cupcake " cap.

The nice thing about a box like that is it's easily serviceable. Also, you can get 510 connectors that are the same width as the atty you're using to make everything more flush. Can even get them with colored landing pads. Just FYI if you didn't already know.

If the noisey was built better that would of been amazing it was a bad ass lil mech but if maybe some better parts and threading thumbs up

What a small world haha. As soon as I saw the box I was wondering if it was a ZFS box, since I know he has his mods in a handful of shops currently. I was checking one out a while back when he first got them to 51Vape. For a simple Hammond Box he does an amazing job with the wiring and setup of them, and they seem like hard hitters.

Yea man. It's nicely made and it def hits hard. Paired with my Kennedy, it's ridiculous. I actually contacted him about putting a voltmeter in it for me. Or I might just buy another with a voltmeter already in it. But I'm liking the box alot

In defense of Jaybo the Cricket is just what he designed it to be. That is a very good performing cheap mod. The Cricket came out selling in the $30 price range where the VCP is in the $120 range. You can't really compare them, totally different classes.

No man. I'm saying it was a good mod. It was cheaply made no biggie but I would of liked to have gotten maybe more than a month out of it before the threads started giving me issues. Bang for Buck. That little fucker hit hard

my cricket never failed on threading nor did the button chip out making it hard as shit to remove the housing which from what i see are the most common problems it has. for me what was most annoying was that it got hot as shit real fast.
like ro550 says though its a different class.... its a cheap, simple design and does the job well.
but when you get some of the more more pricier series mods you can definitely feel the difference in vape quality.
on the cricket id run .3 give or take a couple hundredths and i get the same vape from a .5 or .6 in some of my other series mechs.
i prefer the underground over them all just because i can chain vape the shit out of it and it stays cool due to the material of the body. could probably do with a silver or copper upgrade though id invest in something like that.

My only issue was the threading. Can't complain besides that. It's like if they would of made it better construction I guess u can say. That would of easily been a higher priced mod. But I do like the mech box I have now

Sounds like you got a bad one, I have two and still break one out every now and again.

I do know that you do need to clean the threads. Also I started using Noalox contact grease, but that was a few months after I got my Cricket.

Hydro dip that red box if you like to tinker around.
Ditched my NC too for the same reason. Tossed it out of the car and let that thing burn one day.
Went with the Jmodz OHMPH.
