It’s understandable for a reader to be hesitant seeing a creator return to one of their most beloved works twenty years later. After all, comics change so much in two decades. Writing styles and techniques become antiquated quickly. And sometimes the stories themselves don’t age well. Novel concepts just become old hat at a certain point.
