A pilot for the potential SHIELD spinoff series, Marvel’s Most Wanted, has been shot but in a way “Parting Shots” still functioned as a backdoor pilot – or pre-pilot, as it were. Not only did this episode send Bobbi and Hunter -- the stars of that spinoff -- off by the end, but most of it focused on them, their relationship and their perspective on things.
It was a decent episode, but it also felt like some of the issues Bobbi and Hunter were having (well, really more Hunter) had been rushed over the course of a couple of episodes in order to help set up their exit on an emotional level – even as circumstances forced it to actually happen.
