Won't be doing business here any time soon:D
Spammer went ByeBye. But it must be a high end apartment being so close to Country Club Road and all that.

Oh yeah, it got binned quickly...but fun to look 'em up....
Country Club Rd., INDEED...not with my cash TYVM.. ;)

Check the hours played. I deny the accuracy of that count, but have to confess to well over 1K hours. I would be too ashamed to post this except for the redeeming fact that it helped get me through my first year of recovery. :)

Nice man! I never got to playing that one, but it sure has a following. Glad that it helped ya too. :)

Battery/Maintenance check time for the mechs....
argh.gif

I do a full check about twice a week, just to keep stuff organized, clean and fresh.
I don't necessarily use every mod every day, so IMO, it is good to do an overhaul schedule of sorts.

Not too bad this time: only three batts were getting low and one re-wicking was needed. :)

I gotta go find some music to listen to.
I'm sure that will help.
Not in my case. I showed my young 'un a video of Cake doing a live performance of "Short Skirt Long Jacket" with the purpose of showing her that not all rock 'n' rollers are necessarily "cool" or "glam" looking. Was successful until the lead singer - John McCrae - uttered a literal "WTF" (in my defense, I had NO idea that would happen, but I should've done a better job of screening the vid).

Wife was not pleased....

Definitely an "oops" moment I'm sure.
But funny nonetheless;)

I bought a micro turkey. Slightly larger than an enormous chicken.
my friend bought a turkey that resembles a young ostrich. it's like 26 lb or something. we'll be eating turkey til new years.

See, I want to just buy the parts I'll use and have room for....the breast and thigh meat. The rest I don't need.

I made a fine turkey a few years ago in my former building: http://imgur.com/a/m9eBn#0
Yes, that Apt. was 114 yrs old and the huge manually-lit gas range was from the 1960s.

But, damn, it is so much trouble over a few pounds of usable meat.
It's just not really worth it just for a bachelor in a 1BR Apt. :-/

My kids flew home, and we'll be doing prime rib, we are not turkey people.
Dang, I keep telling myself to find a place that serves fried turkey and I keep forgetting!!!! :(

We're going out for Turkey day.

This weekend will also have one day designated to the new Penguins of Madagascar movie for the kid.

IDK what The Fam is doing for this year...we never communicate stuff until the last minute.

I think I skipped it last year...I hate all the stress, forced pleasantry and constant loud blabbing.
Plus, my sis has a "new" BF that sort of bugs me for no good reason.

Uncle and I usually skip the Holidays...it isn't really for us anyways.

Rumour has it that my son will be in town for Gluttony Day, so I should have enough for him if he so blesses me with an audience.

Ah..well, here ya go:

It's a Flatiron-style brick building. Hardwood floors and lathe & plaster. Huge old American Standard "Venetian" cast-iron radiators.

building.jpg

Built around 1898 using old-growth timber milled right on the spot. The first floor and a half was an old hardware store that had been there since about 1904. I had a ridiculously long and steep first flight of stairs to go up...then another one to get to the 2nd floor of apartments.
