I know how you feel. Years back I had my golden retriever get hit by a car and it crushed me. He was out running around on the farm where I sometimes house sit. I never worried about it because at that time there was nary a car ever on the nearby road, and he was very well trained not to even go there. Yet by some freak instance he chased an animal out into the road and got hit and run by someone who didn't even bother to stop. I personally buried him.Thanks guys.

I live in the country, we have fences but they aint for fencing dogs.
I got pens, but they aint for penning dogs.
Putting a dog on a chain just don't seem right when there's all this land for a big dog to enjoy.
And she definitely enjoyed the freedom of being a farm dog.
But I can't help thinking there was somethin I should have could have done different or better.
