What a horrible wretched day.
Just got news that my beloved cousin died last night.

He was only 34 and struggling with serious mental issues.
I love him so much. We grew up together. He's been one of the few of my family to have not judged me for my wicked past.

I'm so heartbroken right now.
And I hate dumping stuff like this on you guys and gals.

But in a very real way you folks are my only friends.
and for the most part the only folks I talk with other than my parents.
I treasure you people for putting up with me

I have to go to bed.

Bro, sometimes life rains, sometimes it pours. The thing is, no matter what it does, it goes on. Sorry to hear about all your losses. Please think about all the life that results from the rain.

Sorry for your lost Fishee...celebrate his life, I think in the end most of us just want to be remembered and not forgotten. :)

Good morning folks.
I appreciate you all so much.

So my dad just asked me, "so when do you want to kill the goat?" :confused:
Told him my brain was feeling fried from all the dying going on.
He chuckled at me and said well we got to do the killing.

I sure do love that man.

I love my strange life with all of its aches and pains, ups and downs.
I'm grateful for what I have.

Today is a new day.
Another opportunity for me to choose how I want to feel. How I want to think.
Another day to focus on the feelings I choose to focus on.
Another day to maybe meet someone new. Learn something new.
Maybe just do the same old routine.
Maybe today is my last. Or maybe the last for a loved one.
I'm going to enjoy the day as best I can. I shall mourn, perhaps cry.
But I will laugh and smile with sincerity as well.

And I will will make tons of delicious pizzas. For eight hourso_O

Its raining like a champ here today, so you know what that means? Rainy Day Meatballs and Coleslaw!

Rainy Day Meatballs.

1# Ground Beef, your choice on fat percentages.
1/2# Ground Pork
1 small to medium white onion, minced finely
1 T. Red chili flakes.
1 t. Salt
1 T. Ground black Pepper.
1 egg large
2/3 cup bread crumbs.

Mix all ingredients well, form into small balls, around the size of a chocolate truffle. Pan fry until cooked, set aside.

Rainy Day Meatball Sauce.

2 cups of your favorite BBQ sauce, I use Chris N Pitts for this recipe.
2 cups of Welch's Grape Jelly

Mix together and place in crock pot, add fully cooked meatballs to crock pot and mix till fully coated. (can use a pot on the stove, over low heat if no crock pot)

Coleslaw.

1 head of cabbage, sliced or shredded to small thin pieces.
1 head of red cabbage, sliced or shredded to small thin pieces.
1/2 large white onion, sliced very thin.
3 to 5 carrots, shaved
2 T. Fresh time Thyme
3/4 Salt, (i use tobasco salt for this)
1-2 T. fresh ground pepper.
3/4 cup of Mayo
1/2 cup of fresh cream
juice from 1 small lime.

Mix all ingredients completely and let sit in fridge, covered at least an hour before serving.

To serve, we use long wooden skewers to put Meatballs on, we can fit around 5 per skewer. Plate skewers with large helping of Slaw on the side.
Pop in a good movie or some wicked Anime, enjoy the rain and some time with your family.

Slow day here. Was up fairly late researching the proposed 95% tax in WA state, then couldn't sleep so, meh...

Waiting on football...

I think I'll make these for the fam dinner, except making variations of 1/3 with cinnamon and 1/3 with chipotle cocoa, besides the plain sugar ones. :)

I just meant the site as a whole. There is a ton of information there on nearly everything.
Not sure how accurate or what agendas it may serve, but it's definitely a body of work.

What I love about this thread...

Lack of drama... while there may be some from time to time, people here are willing to listen to others point of view and accept everyone for who they are. Quirks and all! We all have them after all. We all have our share of things to deal with.

This is a happy thread... while there is also sadness shared the happiness comes from compassion of fellow posters. You guys and gals always put a smile on my face and for that I say thank you.

I know I don't post much but I am here a lot. This thread and the PIF threads are about the only places I see this. The other places I have frequented have become filled with drama and lots of BS. I am not here for that, I am here for fun and just wanted to say you all make it that here.
