I still have no working furnace.. Remember when that went bad? Like in the first week of November? The insurance co made
me be the claims adjuster, take the pics, do the write up, call the experts, etc, and STILL denied the claim!
I raised such a hell that they finally paid for one to come out, and he sided with me
.. He even used my write-up and pics over again and resent them to them. He said it was all done and explained better than he could have done
So, that was last week. Today I get word that they will, in fact, approve the claim - yeah! But, now its so damn cold, theres snow on the ground, and, due to the wifes schedule, I cant have the guys out 'till next week to do the work.
My wood stove is the main heat for the 30's and above, with the furnace suppose to supplement it (or vise versa, depending) when its really cold, so, at the -10 it is right now, I have 3 space heaters and the wood stove going full blast and its barely keeping 65f in the house... And the chemo makes the wife really sensitive to the cold. Like electric shocks.. And she got some kind of ear/sinus infection that makes her whole upper right side hurt badly and lymph nodes swell, also caused by the chemo (no white blood cells or neutrophils).. In fact, I saw it while it was happening - She was right at the end of her last IV of chemo, before the take home pump was put on, when the right side of her neck and face, and right ear, went all red/rashy. It lasted for about 5-6 mins then went away. The nurse said it prolly a histamine reaction, or she was scratching. Well, she wasnt scratching and never had a histamine reaction to chemo before, but who knows? However, about an hour later she started complaining of pain in her ear and right neck, then arm pit, and I put 2 and 2 together. She's on a Zpac atm, and taking Neupogen, but this cold aint helping..
