I work in construction so @Just Me will understand this. I have been building a walgreens in ocean city md for the past three months now, and without going into the long version, the stake out on the job is wrong. The stake out is supposed to be the end all be all, the right est of the right so to speak. About 2.5 months ago I went to set a storm drain basin and something didn't look right, so I checked the stakeout. It was wrong by two and a half feet. (Keep in mind the stake out being wrong is a once in a lifetime occurrence) so I brought it up to my boss and my dad (the owner of the company).

They told me to call and have it verified, so that's what I did. The stake out crew came back out and said that they were right. So I was told to proceed, so I did. I have always maintained that I thought the stake out was wrong, but since this is my first job as a foreman the superintendent blew it off as me being an idiot. (My dad believed me, but we have to do what the super says or they can throw us off the job.)

So we have done about 100k worth of work and now there is a shit storm because...wait for it...the sake out is two feet off. So for the last week they have been very apologetic saying we're getting it fixed. And today the came out with a letter and what's called a cut sheet with "as builts " on it saying that they have been correct the whole time and I am wrong.

In short I called them out, they are saying that i am wrong. Which means I have to take on an entire surveying company, and prove them wrong, or my dad loses 200k to re do every bit of work that I have done.

I know that I'm not wrong, but it is me against an entire company, and I'm a brand new forman. So it's not looking good

The new Busch Stadium stakeout was wrong by nine feet. They had to move 1/4 of the entire south side of the stands all the way to the upper deck. because it would have butted up against Interstate 64.

My dad owned a construction company for many years.
Unfortunately he was screwed over way too many times.
It almost did him in both physically and mentally.
The construction business aint very easy when it comes to stuff like what has happened with you and your dad there.
I really pray that all will be resolved as painlessly as possible.
Hang in there and just try to walk away from this situation with as much knowledge gained as possible.

Dont open it.. Send a separate email (do not 'reply') to the person who sent it and ask if they did indeed sent it and why.. If its from a company, just trash it as they prolly got hijacked.
Thanks Midnite, that was my thinking too but wasn't sure. It has been deleted.

And shortly after she see's this, she will have it deleted and have JOE ban my sorry ass so enjoy it for the few hours it will be available to you!

And since I have been so very good around here by not letting Evil Uncle out to play, I decided to let him out of my basment/dungeon to play for a bit....

Nope not at all.

With me being the possible exception.

Well most definitely me if I am going to be honest!

All of the "Monster Mods" are tramping around in their "Jackboots" over at ECF where they belong:eek:

Again, I just posted what I posted to have some fun with my buddy Miss Whiskey.

IMHO, she is one of the best people that I know.

And by the way, I did indeed send her a link to this as well as the alert you see.

@franciscan where do you get your g2 vapor from. I'm assuming you get the best price, and I'm interested in trying it.

I need help with syncing my new password with my phone. I just changed my password on my laptop for security reasons and now I can't send photos from my phone to my laptop. When my phone asks for the password I can't type it in because one of the symbols I used can not be found on my phone's qwerty keyboard. o_O??????????

Thanks for the welcome Just Me. I would like to be a vampire and it is the only Halloween thing I would consider. I'm most of the way there anyway. Up late, hate bright lights, have that "can't be tanned" skin... I just don't bite yet. Oh yeah, and there is that aging thing I can't seem to shake...
Ohh yeah many of us bite, drool, and other unpleasant habitual insane actions based on no rationality. Welcome :)
