So a few threads back I said how I'm getting back into vaping (sore throat and vaping don't mix) and I keep choking to death vaping 75 watts. So I go to try again. (Been vaping the Kbox and subtank nano) and the juice steeped in the wick. So I take a hit assuming it'll be more or less a flavor shot. Nope. It tasted horrible. From now on, everytime my juice steeps in the wick the wick is going to the trash. Can anyone relate?
EDIT

I didn't realize that I wrote this wrong I vape at 75 on a sigelei and a mutation x v4

You may want to post what your using as wicking material, details also on the type of juice you use and it's ratios, all those factor in on the problems you are having and it will help folks try to see what's going on with your issues.
Good luck in finding a resolution!!

Have you ever considered turning DOWN the power??? just because it can go that high doesn't mean it needs to on a typical single coil build?? A description or even a photo of what you are rocking would be really helpful too. You could have the craziest setup, but something as simple as a poorly wicked coil can make a night and day difference.

I get hits that would blow your mind on a simple Evic and subox and keep it at about half power. I could rival a choo choo train...

75 watts on a Nano???? Turn that thang down man! Kanger recommends 12-25 watts for the 1.2 ohm coils and 15-30 watts for the .5 ohm coils. Moore's Law (if some is good, more is better) doesn't apply to OCC coils.

Kbox doesn't go up to 75watts !! at least none i have seen
Took the words right off my keyboard.....am I misunderstanding thinking you're vaping at 75w and vaping that same juice in the same tank on a lower wattage device? If that's the case, it will taste like crap because it's scorched.

No, either I wrote my post wrong or you misunderstood. I vape 75 on a mutation x v4

From your picture I see indications of an uneven heat up issue. One wick is much drier then the other, as if that coil is heating faster.....
Also seems like your wicking could be a little light, maybe add a little density

Never had any problems with that myself. I normally vape at 75 watts and under 0.2 ohms.
In my experiences, while vaping until the wick is dry can seem to yield longer wick life, I normally don't do that.
I wake up in the morning and my cotton normally still has several hits left of whatever I was using the night before.

But, the first few hits in the morning do usually seem to be the harshest. Combination of your throat being dry from sleeping and the nicotine that was in the liquid still in the cotton oxidized over night causing more throat hit.

(i'm assuming those wicks are dry from being vaped, not you trying to hit it that dry)

Explain what you mean by density. More cotton?

Cotton should be a snug fit with mild resistance to sliding back and forth when you first put it in.

I generally go for the strips being just over the size of the coils when cut.

Might be around 1/4" x 1/4" for coils with a 3mm inside diameter.
For example, this cotton and RDA combo.

Yes, the back coil on the picture seems to be a bit under wicked... Hard to tell from a pic, but it looks like there is a little space between the wick and first coil.... You want positive contact on each wrap
