today been one of those (bad days). I'm still new to vaping and believe I'm on my 4th week into this. I don't have any money to even start vaping hell its costly, anyway I was given a mod and tank I suppose is what they are called and since this is a sub ohm tank and I don't have money to fork out for new coils I ended up just buying the kanthal a1 24g wire to build my coils for .5 ohm. well yea I got all that almost down and already built a few coils even tho it was all trial and error the frusteration to get the exact .5 I needed even with all the guides on how to do it the right way still didn't seem to work.(turned out it was the mod) fluctuating ohms I had.

I have the organic cotton for it. done everything I was suppose to. yet the juice still taste like garbage. When before it tasted amazing.

the mod I had actually broke and once I noticed when I took off the tank those little pins inside the mod, also a little wire that hooks up under all the pins or something was out of place. fix that then hooked up my tank and finally its working and reading the tank at .5 ohms.
unfortunately now my tank don't fit my mod now. idk what happened, maybe I crossfed the threads idk but now my tank don't skrew in my mod. great. vaping started off as an amazing experience but now just feels like a headach.
I'm just venting right now so all this may be smashed together, anyway yup walked outside and lit up a smoke.
now I'm trying to figure out how to properly have my tank screw on my mod again, cause the dam thing just falls off now.

After close to 6yrs vaping i left my shit at home like a couple of weeks ago so i bummed a smoke from a coworker and found out i have lost the ability to smoke properly... cant hit it right, cant get a good amount of smoke... i felt my chest fill up with something hot as shit but when i released close to nothing came out. Kinda glad to find sub ohm vaping has not only helped me quit smoking it actually screwed up my ability to do so properly.

Can you tell us the mod and the tank name? Quite honestly, I'm proud of you for not giving in sooner than you did. Doesn't make you a smoker, you had a cig. It happens. You have the determination to carry this through, no doubt.

Hang tight, give us the tank and mod info and I have zero doubt SOMEONE here can help you out.

I feel your pain - it can indeed take a lot of time and patience to vape smoothly with a lot of hiccups.

The other posters are very right about getting more info.

One thing that jumped out at me in your post is that you complained about how costly it is to vape.

Trust me, it doesn't have to be - especially when compared to the added up cost of smoking

LOL...cut yourself some slack...before the days of the chinomizers and the pop in coilheads we all had to rebuild our attys...and let me tell you we all threw our attys across the room more than a few times out of fustration...so welcome to the club, but once you get it down you'll be able to build your setup blind, drunk or asleep.....it's a learning curve..it took time for you to become a smoker, it will take time to learn to be a non smoker.

Thank you for the reply, the mod and tank I have is from http://www.fazevapor.com/product/faze-vapor-elite-vape-kit.asp , I was told that the tank is like an atlantis aspire knockoff or something.

I know I was just venting up there, I just need a nice mod/tank and this time not skrew the tank so tightly onto the mod.

Looks like a rebranded iStick 20W. The 510 pins on those are notorious for being fiddly, and eLeaf didn't start using stainless 510 threading until the 30W model. I'd bet the stainless 510 on your atty borked those aluminum threads good. :(

I'm afraid there's not much you can do to fix that mod if the threading is fucked. Hang on to the atty and find a good deal on an iStick 30 or something. You should be able to find one on eBay for around 20 bucks these days.

I was able to get my tank to properly sit snug on my mod by cutting a small piece of rubber and placed it circularly around the spring loaded pin on my mod, then placed my tank on it until I got the threads to bite, been working afterwords. note to self is to not screw the tank on the mod to tight lol.
