If you would be so kind, would you mind posting your current version of your shisha strawberry that you frequently talk about, in the recipe section? Would really appreciate that, having managed to secure some inawera shisha strawberry. Used to see you talk about it on the...ahem...other site, and remember you saying you had reduced the percentages a little over time.
My problem is similar to yours....after 30 years of heavy smoking, even after 2 years of vaping my taste buds must not be what they once were. I don't bother trying high vg juices anymore...no matter how people ranted about how delicious they were, they all tasted so watered down and bland to me....yes, i could taste them, but only just. Really frustrating. And I knew that higher vg juice just didn't carry the flavor, but even a lot of the 70/30 juices were like that for me. At first I thought that people just settled for and were used to bland juices. Personally I never wanted a juice so strong it would gag me, but I do want what I consider a full-flavored juice.
So I taught myself diy. And I tried making many very well regarded juice recipes by people like HIC, many of these recipes might have a total percentage of say 5-6% flavoring, and I was astonished to find I could BARELY even taste these at all. And this was with various rdas, small chambered, tight draw, etc. I know alot of folk like light or subtle juice, but dang! So had to come to the conclusion finally that the problem was with me. And medical research does show that yes, your sense of taste does diminish with age. Being in my 50's, and 30 years of smoking......what might have tasted just fine at 25 just barely tastes like anything at 55. This really pisses me off....lol. I use rdas or rtas these days and mix at 40pg/60vg, or even 50/50 in something like the Achilles (plus I get that throat hit I seem to need) Sure I also understand that with some concentrates you can only take the percentage so high before the flavor starts to mute or get nasty. So that's that, thats my rant....lol. And by the way, if anyone has any really good recipes they like at higher percentages, please do post them. It would save this old guy the trouble of having to mix, test, remix at higher percent, test, remix again higher, etc.
Tnx Again!

I used to use +2% sweetener in that recipe, and now if I use over 1% I can't tolerate it!
Already got a 5-star review! woohoo!
