Another closes the doors...

Not sure if this has been posted, but just read "over there", that Ikenvape is closing up shop.

For many of us "vaping old timers", Ikenvape provided some of the best cartomizers of the time. While I've personally moved beyond what they were known for some time ago, I always had great customer service from IKV.

It's just nostalgically sad to see an original closing its doors.

yeah, I have a feeling some former huge names are going to be going the way of the do-do. Those that cant adapt or evolve are going to close their doors.

I still have some IKV cartomizers from that time period. So sad. I have a feeling a lot of vendors are going to sign out of the vape world.

Yep, I have a feeling this is going to be a trend. Vape shops are going to drop like flies if things keep going in the direction they are now.:(

Sad to see vape shops dropping seemingly left and right. But on the bright side, at least theres lots of closing sales to look forward to :). The one fron 777 was particularly epic

to be honest I'm shocked more B&Ms aren't collapsing, at the price of decent juice online, the saving on hardware, through the net, it really baffles me how many can make it at the prices they still charge.

I think a lot of the bigger online sites will wind up going the route Parkes is thinking about. Instead of selling ready to vape juice they're talking about selling it as a kit. All the flavors, PG, VG, and nic in bottles and you just combine and shake and vape.

I would have no issue with that at all. considering I vape zero or 1%nic, it would be to my benefit

I vape at 3mg, but I wouldn't have an issue with it either. I could even add my own nic to it. But planning on not buying a lot of commercial juice now that I've gotten into DIY.

So sad to see the polyester sock vaping come to a close. Those were my favorite back in the beginning. Then rebuilding came along. Threw in my usual DIY juice on a rebuildable coil. Wow ! This juice tastes amazing ! :D We've come a long way baby ! :bingo:

For real. My local shop is basically just a price gouging fest. Clone RDAs for $20-$30-$40, Noisy Crickets are $40, RX200 (not DNA) for $100. hell my Subox kit was well over a bill out the door with a battery and small single slot charger. Even their wire is crazy expensive. Like $7 for something like 25 feet when you can get 100 feet at LV for $3. The only thing I buy at the B&M is juice and cotton, theyre the only things that are reasonably priced.

I made a few orders from them back in the day. Sucks to see them go.

The ones I see doing very well have become the Lounge type thing, reminds me of the old Cigar shop I'd go to. So while they're much more costly you pay for that ambiance. Then there's also the internet-phobic type people to thank and new and old vapers looking for some more hands on type of information (reading and videos only do so much without the device in front of you). But, yes it's a bit surprising how many there are around.
