It keeps giving me error code 0x800706ba .....and now i t won't connect to internet and the disk drive won't work and no sound.... It worked fine till the wife restarted it yesterday so I'm pretty much dead in the water

I think it's time to wipe it all out and start from scratch .......and I do have a disk but the disk drive won't run ......nothing runs .....its weird all the start up programs are disabled and half won't start manually........ Another weird thing ......the sims 3 runs just fine without the disk

... That's strange. In this case, I'd just get another pc. Depending on how old yours is, that is. You can get really simple good ones for pretty cheap or you can build your own for a great price. I have a $800 pc which I built for about $435

This, I quickly grew tired of dying light. It was OK but not good or great imo.
When it comes to gaming we prefer "Modders", Hacking has a negative light on it and editing game content is just that-Modifying , not actually hacking...Sorry for the rant, you get alot of shit when helping others online for being a "H@XXoR"

Boot into safe mode, run malware bytes, and hijack this. Sounds like you have some malware messing with software/drivers to me.
If all else fails back up important documents, etc. Install fresh copy of Windows 7 from flash drive.
Btw, F8 after bios boots will prompt you to boot into various modes, normal, safe with or without networking. Also does the bios recognize the disc drive? If so you should be able to use your restore disc.
I'll try that when I get home .I'm at work till 5

There's a difference. Modders do just that, mod - edit the game. Different modes, weapons, characters, etc.
Hackers mod the game, normally multiplayer, to cheat.

Also, sail the high seas and get an activated version of Windows 7, or I can drop box you a copy. If you only have the restore disc and not a copy of Windows 7 vanilla.
I'm pretty sure the one I have is a crack copy ....and yea all I have is a restore disk

State of decay is pretty fun. I like it way better than dying light. I tried dayz out long ago, I don't imagine it's anywhere near as rough when I played it
