When it isn't freezing... On every Saturday DIY show for the last month ELR has froze on me... A little annoying.
Tried the Zeppola at 4%. Interesting kind of a glazed doughnut taste with a bit of something else raspberry maybe? A good mixer, stand alone kind of meh.

Tried the Real Flavors VG Black Raspberry at 3%. Pretty darned good but maybe better a bit lower %. Does not taste exactly like black raspberry but close and MUCH better than regular raspberry.
I am thinking with something creamy the black raspberry would be great.
Might mix = parts of the Zeppola and the Black raspberry...

I did one batch of Zeppola with other things (chocolate and whipped cream) and another with just Zeppola at a slightly higher percentage. (3%) I like the 2% better I think (but I'm always on the lower end) I really like the flavor. I think it's an excellent base but yeah, I don't know if it's a stand alone flavor. (what donut type flavor is though?)
Real Flavors I am still disgruntled about. Every flavor I have mixed thus far has been a dud... I wish I wouldn't have gotten so many thinking that they were going to be good. *sigh*

The Black Raspberry is the only one of their flavors I have. Found it on Amazon while looking around. Had some Amazon gift cards for Christmas sooo... It it not a spot on black raspberry. I grew up eating those every summer. But the closest I have found.

The Zeppola I get a bit of yeast maybe but mostly glazed doughnut.
Is pretty good will wait a week to see how things steep.

Many people were raving about the Real Flavors and I went a bit over board... Bought probably about 20 for no good reason. I should have done what I normally do with a new brand and just buy a couple to start. So far they have all been a fail... but I am still delusional and have hope. I have the VG based ones (not the super concentrated ones) so I'm hoping some of them will be decent after a long steep. I've read those need to steep a month or so.

Only been diy'ing for a couple months now but have not even had the urge to buy anymore commercial juice. And I'm not even good at it yet, lol. I've been making like almost 15-20 ingredient strawberry creams and yogurts and such. Lol. I know I'm muting things and wasting stuff but I get so excited that I have so many delicious flavors I wanna use them all! And I've been coming away with some tasty stuff with thick mouth feel.

I think that just about everyone that switched to DIY prefer DIY, either because it's better or cheaper or both.

AND because some of us really need high-PG, which is pretty much impossible to find anymore, in commercial juices. Even when it was the norm, it was hard to find 85%-and-up.

That, and because I used WTA at the time, was why I started DIY. Then I discovered how much cheaper AND BETTER it is, so DIY outlasted WTA. Because I still gotta have 85%-86% PG.

AND when you DIY you have absolute control of what's in your juice.

Yeah, the "Great Diketone Debate" was another part of my start with DIY... even if diketones ultimately turn out to be no particular deal with vaping... I'm just neurotic that way -- and having asthma already, I have a REAL good idea what it feels like to not be able to breathe!

i find a lot of the premade flavours i've tried too strong, too sweet. been much happier with liquid since i started mixing.

Yeah I can see that. There are a lot of bad recipes out there, and developing your own recipes can be pretty time consuming. $15 bucks for 120ml isn't bad at all. It's a far cry from the days of $20 for 30ml, now that was ridiculous considering 30ml is basically a sample if you're sub-ohming.

in europe we'll soon only be able to buy small bottles (10ml i think). which kinda sucks, and is probably a good reason to mix. although i mostly use single flavours or at most pretty simple mixes with only 2 or 3 ingredients.

I've tried a few of the extracts but they're not quite as good as my other favorites...
I wouldn't say they were bad tho...

I'm just not used to mixing so high. 10%-15% is crazy to me. But even at 10% so far, I can taste practically nothing. So I may have to opt for 15%... I just hope I can find at least a handful out of the 21 I have that are decent.

Well at least the extracts aren't that weak.

I think the VG flavors are like fine wine and must age for years?
