Anybody got a good custard recipie?

After 2 months of the fruit & creams that I posted a while back, I'm bored of them. Want to do fruit custards for a bit.

Now, I know mamaj's game over vanilla is the best, and I imagine it would be great with fruits added. But lets face it, I don't wanna have to buy 300ml worth of the flavoring so I can make 2000ml of eliquid to last all of Jan (sorry wllmc).

I'd rather make a custard base to use.

I've often seen a Grants Vanilla Custard clone recipe that had people raving over it. Anybody have experience with that or know of any other good vanilla custard recipes?

I made one of the Grants clones. It was vanilla custard 8% with 2% dulce de leche. I used TFA, though, and something is the tiniest bit perfumey. It may be the DDL. There are some more complicated clones I've yet to try. Deeks berry custard recipe looks pretty simple and pretty good. I am going to try that one as soon as I get some vanilla swirl. So, I really don't have a ton of experience with custards but I'd like to try some different ones.

I've made the Grant's clone a few times recently. I'm still searching for the elusive, perfect vanilla custard as well. I do like the Grant's clone, but I can't imagine the DDL playing well with fruits (I could be wrong, as I often am). It takes a bit of time for the DDL to settle down and blend in. I tried vaping the Grant's right after mixing it and didn't care for it at all, but after a week I started to enjoy it. Even still, it's a flavor that I don't think I'd enjoy with fruits.

I'm just starting to play around with custards a bit more and plan on trying some fruit custards in the near future. I think that Caps (or even TFA custard) with a mix of various FA creams, and/or TFA Bavarian Cream, will be a good starting point for making a good fruit custard. I just got some DIY Flavor Shack Holy Vanilla that I'm hoping to incorporate into some mixes...I've seen people rave about it. Good luck on your "custard journey" and keep us posted on how you're making out! Inquiring minds wanna know!

Easiest way is to add some CAP Vanilla Custard to your established Fruit/Cream Recipes.
Most Custard bases are using Creams and other Vanillas anyway so...

Not real crazy about the DDL in many of the Custard recipes tho, it just doesn't taste good to me.
Edit: At least in Custard mixes that is, but I still use DDL in some Bakery or Caramel mixes.

Hmm, didn't really think to try that.
I have plenty of cap van custard. Thanks.

I'm still new to the game but recently I found success with FA custard, FA strawberry as the primary ingredients with a touch of ripe strawberry and gramcracker to round out the complete vape.

Right now I'm steeping my first batch made with cap custard v2. Not sure how it will turn out, but the above is totally a recipie to be saved with a few tweets.
