Anyone know what makes a mix come out perfumy?

I've been trying to find any posts that may have covered this but have been unsuccessful... too much fruit? Is a batch lost or is there a simple fix that could be suggested?

Some just turn out that way in the beginning, especially if there's alcohol in the flavoring. Alcohol will evaporate, so just give them a bit of time, shake 'em up a little each day.

Thanks! I'm still pretty new at this... I actually was going to let it sit (other advice I've read here "if you don't like it now-wait a week or two" but figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Some flavors are alcohol based. I think technically so is the PG and VG. Leave the cap off the juice for a day or so it should lessen. Some juices dont.

FA Bilberry & FA Blackberry are the 2 that do it for me:gaah:
You could try them at 0.5% tho, didn't help for me tho.

Oh, and BTW, alcohol based flavors taste nothing like granny's perfume.
And the perfume taste will not go away even steeping for a year:eek:.

Gave up on those 2 and now using TFA Blueberry Wild & FE Blackberry now, no perfume.

I use FA Blackberry at 0.05% (not standalone). However, it still has a slight perfume/soap taste the first 3 days.

My fa flavors just came in the mail and looking at them and smelling them they seem weak and alcoholly...ish, but I'm not gonna knock em until I mix and try them.

When the flavor concentrate in the juice is too high, the juice may feel perfumy and not in a good way.

The tobacco blend I make for my wife uses some of SM's English Tobacco. It smells like cologne thanks to whatever solvent they use, but underneath, there are flavor notes that are intriguing and add something interesting to the vape. After I mixed it, it reeked for a week or two. Now, it's her preferred tobacco right next to MaddHatter.
