Anyone tried the stingray x clone yet?

I gotta say that this is one of the most impressive clones that I've came across. The redesigned switch, although a blatant ripoff of the nemy switch with magnet upgrade, is a change for the better. The hybrid adapter works well and looks amazing. The engravings are really deep and three dimensional as well. I think my favorite part is the machining on the threads, they're extremely smooth and the seam from all three tubes just melts away when put together.

Has anyone else had experience with this mod?

I'm not entirely sure, I believe it's either infinite or cigreen. We got 10 of them in at the shop and I didn't place the order, I'll have to ask the powers that be when I get to work tomorrow

When fully assembled it does use an18650. It's just incredibly small especially with the hybrid adapter. I'm using it in 18650 mode in that photo with my quasar.

Yea the stainless is on top of the copper and it doesn't come apart. The body is modular and made of three tubes, but you can't see the seam line for them when assembled.

Nope! Which I'm sure china will make a 26650 clone soon though, if they haven't already. It would defeat the purpose for me though, the most appealing thing to me is how tiny this thing is, especially in 18350 mode with the hybrid adapter. It's about the same as the 4nine.

Damn now I really have to get one. Did you find out who made yours? It looks from the box like something Infinite would make but Im pretty sure they all come in a bag that says infinite on them

I saw the box for the infinite version on a review and it wasnt the same as mine. The quality is exceptional though, so maybe Hcigar or cigreen?

I got this version from FastTech and its by far my favorite mod yet. Hits harder than any mod I own thus far and it definitely my "go to" device (IGO-W on top with keg cap). The copper core is out of this world good. Well made and perfect for what I like.

My only complaint is the super fragile magnets. Out of curiosity, I took it apart to look at it and instantly one of the magnets broke. Luckily I've made a fix using another magnet, but its not quite the same size, so the throw is a little off. I can't find magnets that are the same size (16mm OD x 11mm ID x 1mm thick) Hoping to try grinding some down...as I have a lot of magnets, but it could F-up the strength of the magnets...but I gotta give it a try.

Was going to pick one up, everything about the mod I thought was perfect for me except for the locking ring, I had issues of the ring getting stuck between threads on the previous model, but not sure if that carries over with this version though.

@KKen. The locking ring is still an issue. Mine takes a bit of work to get it to actually lock and it gets hung up a bit, but if you power through it, you can usually still get it to lock. The locks on my other models work seamlessly, however and I have the brass, black and 26650 versions (along with the X). If you can't tell, I love stingrays (part of being a marine biologist )

Prediction was correct. The process of trimming the magnet (presumably the heat) destroyed the magnetism of the magnet. It had nearly no strength after I finished trimming it to a perfect fit. Basically, its not worth the effort. Just need to find the right size magnets or re-energize the magnet by using an electromagnet.

I just got mine last night from focalecig and its a pretty sweet looking mod.. no issues w the locking ring.. and no flaws from what I see.. Very happy for 35$ purchase and it shipped within 48 hours. Will deff buy from them again

I love mine. Picked it up when they first came available. Hits like a champ and looks amazing in hybrid with an authentic Zenith V2. Just wish I could find stronger magnets for it so I can set it down unlocked for a second or two.

Anyone looking for replacement magnets (16mm OD x 11mm ID x 1.0mm) can order them from Omomagnets (link below). I setup an account and used PayPal. Took about 4 weeks to be delivered (UK) but had email notifications on the order all the way up to 'shipped'. The packaging is impressive.

You can check the tracking by logging in to your account and viewing the order detail. There you'll find the Singpost tracking number (which is also a link). Copy this number and then click the link. Input this number in to the 'Track Items' tab (don't forget to click the "I'm not a Robot" checkbox). Be aware that this tracking ends once it enters the destination country, so expect a delay before they actually arrive.

I found that the magnet in the battery side of the switch was a snug fit and needed some gentle persuasion to seat properly otherwise the switch wouldn't make contact. Remember to be gentle, if you're too heavy handed the magnets may snap.

I got one too, and was less than impressed - went back to using my Nemmy until the Sig 100 showed up in late 2014...and it's still my go-to RDA mod today.

Once again, I had a similar experience. 'Seems like I used mechs for about a week (mighta been a skosh longer than that), then went back to a Bartleby or some such.
