APV4 draining batteries while off

I have an APV4 that I've had for quite a while but it sits. It doesn't have 5 hours of use so it's basically new. The reason it sits is because it discharges the batteries while it is shut off. I've tried 4 different companies batteries and it discharges all of them the same. Turn it off, get up the next morning and they are dead.
Any ideas of what's going on or is it just junk?

I had an iStick30 that started doing that when it was about 7 months old. I took it to the Home depot battery recycler, and replaced it with another mod. If it's new, I'd see about getting a refund/replacement.

If you are comfortable opening the mod and making sure the charge board is insulated from the metal frame. You will probably see where the board is shorting out and draining the batteries. In either case stop using it and especially stop leaving batteries in it. Good luck.

Yes I did mean IPV4 , Doh. Remove the charging circuit huh? I don't use it anyway (the charging circuit ) so I'll try that. and thank you. Andria, nice seeing you again.

Thank you. I will do that. I have built ecigs so it's no biggy. I also fix everyone in my family's computers so I'm comfortable opening it up. You are right about leaving it off until it's fixed.

The bad thing is when the battery can't be removed... like my iStick30 that started doing this crap. "How can this thing be dead, when I haven't been using it???" Really puzzled me. Finally I just thought, hey, it was $32, I got 7 months out of it, good enough, and took it for recycling and got another mod -- which used a removable battery! I got a kbox mini for about $23... and dropped it on the floor after i'd had it only a couple months, and apparently knocked something loose inside it; it rattles and won't turn on anymore. So, I just replaced THAT... with a $19.99 iPV Mini. At least the replacements keep getting cheaper. :D But if this shit keeps up, I'm gonna have to figure that the universe just doesn't want me to have a black mod. :D

True, built in batteries are not ideal but they do have a couple good things about them. @johnjasper has an APV4(IPV4) which has / had a known charge board issue. I never have had a P4Y product but I have heard and read enough negative things about them to keep me from buying one.

I'm completely delighted with my (now) 2 iPV Minis. My favorite mods!

I pulled the batteries a couple months ago. As soon as I get done configuring this new graphics card I'm getting into fixing this mod. I sure thank everyone for the help.
