On the sigelei website itself they suggest these batteries for some of their high power mods. Figures they're trying to make an extra sale but wanted to check.

Interesting, and thanks for the link - I'd express curiosity as to what's really under the wrapper, but for $12.95 I'm not that interested and I can almost guarantee it's a Samsung or LG 20A cell just like what Efest re-wraps and re-specs as 35A. Either of the originals are great cells and will work fine for $6 apiece or less.

Edit: to get a full 200W out of a dual-18650 mod you should probably be looking at 30A cells, but 20A should be fine for 150 watts or less.

Bottom Line
In my opinion, the performance of this version of Sigelei's 35A 2500mAh cell, using a GPower cell, is too inconsistent to test. The other version uses the VTC4, rated at 30A/2100mAh. This time at least they use a 2500mAh cell. But, the performance between the two cells I have was so different that I have no idea which might represent the true average performance of Sigelei's.

Testing was stopped as soon as I confirmed that the two cells I received were so different. Both appeared identical. I cannot recommend buying the Sigelei battery.

Bottom Line
In my opinion, this is a 20A-25A, 2100mAh cell and I'm mad as hell about it. Sigelei should be ashamed of themselves for labeling it 35A/2500mAh. The photos clearly show that it's a rewrapped 2100mAh VTC4 so it can't possibly be 35A or 2500mAh. But instead of telling the truth, Sigelei decided to hop on the exaggerated battery rating bandwagon.

Why am I so angry about this cell when there are dozens of overrated ones on the market? Sigelei is a trusted manufacturer of mods that many, many people love. They had a chance to continue their good reputation and be one of the industry leaders in the battle to have batteries labeled with their true ratings. Instead, they decided to mislead us and try to make a few extra dollars. Words can't express how disappointed I am in Sigelei.

They have also labeled it as a "Li-Mn" and "IMR" cell. But the VTC4 is a "NMC" cell, using a nickel-manganese-cobalt chemistry. It does not use the lithium-manganese chemistry that IMR cells use.

It's like this wrap was for another cell entirely but they decided to use it anyway.

Testing was stopped as soon as I confirmed it was performing close to a VTC4. The results will not be posted as I cannot recommend buying this battery.

Everything else is a re-wrap.

Yes they're rewraps, and as Mooch mentions they're bad ones because they're not consistent about what's under the wrapper.

Of course they are re-wraps. There are only a handful of battery manufacturers- none of them being small companies...
