Remember to crack that window a bit lol. Was driving down the street the other morning, chucked a big ol cloud which formed a complete whiteout in front of my face, started to franticly wave my arms:gaah:
I can only imagine what it looked like to the passing motorist:eek:

Well, my wife's bro in law does vape every now and then. Think he does at work considering he works as a gas station attendant. He was supposed to have been helping someone set up a shop or something. Not too sure what come of that, not too bothered to know, not my business.

I vape, I know me. :) I don't really know anyone else that vapes personally. Know a few family members that seemed to try but were lured back to cigarettes. I keep being lured more and more into vaping as I do it. Does that make me weird?

If so it's no big deal. I'm kind of weird anyway for a couple of reasons. One being as I pointed out in another thread, I am kind of a genetic freak. Another is a bit private, suffice it to say I love people. :) I could be a misanthrope for handling stupidity but no, I love people. :) I'm just not a 'people person', people have to get to know me and inversely me them.

But yep, I know me, I vape and that's about all the folks what I know that vape aside from the forums.

It has been cold and rainy here while driving my GF to the airport I needed the window open a bit and the defroster cranking on 3 to keep the cloud from enveloping her. I wonder what the people in other cars think when they smell Honeydew or my Green Apple Berry!

I personally can't deal with the people who act really really interested in it....get a setup....never use it. Like my boss....I gave him an old setup I use to use and every time I see him he still has a cigarette in his hand......

That's why i would never ever buy someone their first setup, or give them one of mine -- people value more what they spend their own money on. When I bought my first eRoll, I had no earthly idea if it would work for me or not... but I stuck to it because I had $40 invested in it! :D $40 is a lot of money when you're still paying cigarette extortion regularly!

I still don't know to many people that vape, I've converted my gf who now loves it and quite proud of her clouds lol. I set one guy at work up with one of my old 50w mod and a tank and then he wanted a dripper but then here we are months later and it's just sitting on a shelf at his house never used, kinda sad to waste a mod like that. The guys at my local shop know me by name now which is nice, half the time I go there I just go to chat and hang out maybe sample some new juice. And yeah I remember not all that long ago when the first time I blew out a huge could while driving towards the sun with the windows closed, was damn near in the passenger seat trying to see , oops lol. Now to get an uncle of mine to give up his 3 packs a day for a vape setup.

The guys at my Vape shops have my phone numbers since I do work for one, IT/Digital Media. And the other wanted to collaborate on the town regulations and what I know about how the town works.

That's the thing... for anyone to make a change, and certainly as big a change as switching from smoking to vaping, they have to want it themselves, for their own reasons. If they don't, and they don't go out and find it and purchase it themselves, then it wouldn't matter if you filled their entire home with vape gear, they won't use it. Smoking is just too hard of a thing to quit, unless one really wants it for themselves. It can even be hard for those who do really want it, but since they really want it, they persevere, they keep trying to find a way to make it work. Someone without that personal motivation will give up at the slightest difficulty.

Like I have said before you can lead a smoker to vaping but you can't make them quit.

I have a buddy right now out in Illinois who's son vapes and it made him so happy his son quit smoking and while talking about DIY his interest in vaping was increased 10 fold. One of the things he said was I need to quit and if I had something like this to do with my son there are even more benefits to quitting! Before I got off the phone I had emailed him links to Liquid Barn!

I have a friend who coughs so much when speaking on the phone it drives me crazy to hear and she owned vaping gear for years before I ever even thought about vaping. I have been trying to give her some inspiration to pull that gear out and will even drop off some of my DIY Homemade e-Liquids if her stuff expired! I am doing everything I can think of but she just has something pop up when we are on the phone that makes her get off the phone.

You could just stop talking to her. If she asks why, tell her it's too painful for you to listen to her, when she has the means to fix it but won't use it. Peer pressure can be a mighty weapon. ;)

--------------fear, hate and ignorance are the easiest & most common forms of education

Find this is true pf a lot of various subjects. Fear, xenophobia specifically causes a lot of animosity in our world/s. This will then in turn harden into feeling of absolutes. It is easily seen in the 'us vs. them' mentality. Such bullying forces people to choose black or white.

That noted I am seeing that fear leads to death. It does so by hindering learning, adapting, loving, living. Know it sounds I'm preaching absolutes but we need to choose life over death. We need to because it seems there are others who choose death for us, behind the scenes. Yes, I know it seems I'm falling to us vs. them.

I dislike that it can only be framed this way, to remain simple. It isn't the best way as the words used as tools are awkward and clumsy at best. The words become cumbersome and begin to create obfuscation of the problem, vis a vi, creating more of the problem.

Another subject where this touches on is something I'm writing out as a story. Hopes are that it will help in that subject to provide an up lifting message, show how blatant hate creates terrible world/s for everyone. Got a character sheet worked up today. :) I can look at it and see the story for this character nearly writing itself. I've three more characters to develop out using this outlining concept being used. Hoping the story drafts out quickly. :)

Already being poached in a way about the story. Another site I visit in regards to the other subject has the site owner acting as a forward agent of a publishing house in Canada. He seems to be chomping at the bit for me to get it done. He says the publisher will match or beat any deals on offer by other publishers. As of yet I've not even queried any others. Got a few places in mind but nothing on the market. :) Need to write the damn story first. *chuckles*

Suffice it, the story focuses on gardening but is also of adult nature regarding adult subject matter not related to gardening. Wanted to let you know, you're not alone in seeing this issue happening. We can only try making positive light in our spheres and hoping for the best. And sometimes merely looking for the best can help us re-frame the ways in which we think about the problem/s we each face. This helps learn, grow, adapt, live. :) * hug * I need to scoot along.

Sometimes get taken aback a little. Do not talk a good deal around family, friends. What throws me and kind of sets against talking too much is having people go way too quiet. For me it is scary thinking I may actually have some kind of good comprehension about things, and people do listen to what I say.

That frightens me because it forces the ball into my court as is said. I have no desire to lead, to be responsible for others. Know I do not like others deciding for me, what is best, know others do not want that either. Always a very fine line to tread. Just more of what I need in life, more balancing practice. :)

Don't recall signing up to be a juggler. :) Got another character sheet done up. Two out of four in a day isn't bad. The other two can wait, need to deal with getting into an authority persona for one. Not quite feeling up to it despite this character being somewhat a nice guy. Not that I shirk responsibility mind. I prefer though being as the stag, off in the background watching the does graze. No need to rush life when savoring it is often better.

I had tried several times to kick the cigarettes by looking for the one thing that would "mimic" real smoking. Thinking those ciga-likes were the only solution. None of that worked as you could imagine.

Then, in July of 2014 my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and that was the motivation I needed to find the right setup which ended up being an MVP 2.0 w/ iClear30 clearomizer. That was the start of my journey!

I now have thousands of dollars spend in mods, tanks, and juice in a year and a half then I would have liked. I even work at a vape shop near my house to just pay for gear. Been working there since January and haven't received one real pay check!! It all goes towards my tab!!

But I wouldn't take anything back. I feel great! I still cough, but that is from me who likes a dense, warm and flavorful vape.....it just makes me 'quick" cough! No lung puppies ever come up.

If it wasn't for my wife's death scare I'd probably still be on the stinkies!!

"Oh you but you gotta just try ..." ;)

I am finding this morning that an appreciation of the RSST is in order. It is a real simple thing to set up correctly. Not sure it would suit you if you enjoy warm vapes. You might be happy if you used the stock air hole on it.

Tried the Evod style tanks starting out. Got about half a dozen now sitting in various stages of juice levels. They're in a little plastic box. At present I'm without a fair squonk kit. So, using the RSST.

It is making yummy vapor with some Chicago Classic Smoke I was fortunate to win from Vapor 4 Life. :) It is a real good juice mixed at 60 vg and 40 pg. I normally like the 50/50 mix but hey this is good too.

Smoked about 35 years, off and on. Used chaw, snuff as well about the same time. Wife would not kiss me after I finished a chaw or rub of snuff. Didn't blame her but did fuss at her a little, in good fun. :) One day she finally told me enough was enough.

She found me an eGo and RGM2 tank for cheap. I tried it and figured it was alright. She had tried getting me hooked on Njoys and a few other cig-a-likes to no avail. Still felt a desire for more while using the evods. Watched videos on building coils, on batteries, mods.

Kept myself using the evods until I saw Mr. Todd squonking. The idea of carrying juice around and dripping didn't appeal to me. But, if it's all in one unit, and Mr. Todd said it was fun and even goofy, heck yeah. :) So, I got into doing with rdas. Wife's bro-in-law gave me the RSST for Christmas, I had just been borrowing it. He wasn't using it.

Now, I can no longer smoke a cigarette. In the past three months I may have had two or three drags off one. I wind up giving it back to someone else to finish. They make me feel sick. Hard seeing why I ever picked up the habit.

Not really though. I grew up in VA, what used to be tobacco capital of the world. Now, it is the poultry capital of the world. Still lots of tobacco die hard there as well. Feeling a lot better off cigarettes. Glad my wife got me vaping even though she doesn't. She has never really smoked either.

Funny how our good women folk seem to guide us to be our better selves. You think maybe they got some kind of insight, maybe even are smarter than us? ;)

Haha, the vaper nod. I see it all of the time, but I never get the chance to do it either. I usually just do the mod wave. I just stick my mod out of the window. Everyone else is probably thinking "Why are these guys holding stuff out of their windows? o_O" I once did that when a guy 20 feet up was tossing some clouds out the window - he actually saw it and did the same.

My favorites are drive-thru cloud contests. I see so many people vaping in the drive-thru. I'll usually yell their way and toss clouds out the window. It's especially fun when you have a car full of vapers tossing clouds out of each window in sync. Somewhere on someone's facebook or instagram, there's a picture of me and my buddies doing that. I know this because one such time, this girl behind us was screaming at us to keep doing it so she could take pictures lol.

And then there are the shy vapers. They see you vaping and you see them vaping, but they're avoidant. Always running startup gear. They just don't get it yet, I think :/

The one I love is when some igmo sees your exhaled cloud in the parking lot, and comes up to bum a smoke.... I wave the mod and say "does this really look like a cigarette to you? those things'll kill ya!" :D

Speaking of parking lots.... one day back in Dec, we were just getting back from a full day of xmas shopping, and had to stop at Kroger on the way home... I saw a guy with some kind of tube mod standing in the parking lot; I was so excited, i wanted to stop and have the friendly vaper exchange, but my husband was in an ill mood from all the lines and crowds and we didn't even slow down. :gaah:

don't be to harsh...we have hillbillies and rednecks in big cities to they wear ponytails and birkenstocks and have bernie sanders bumperstickers, and they think vaping is more dangerous than smoking.

Sounds familiar, I think we might live in the same place.

In the last 2 days I had 2 separate people ask me how I could they wished they could get a couple of smokers into vaping since they knew I quit due to using e-Cigs. I told them that they have to want to quit and they have to be interested in vaping then I would be glad to help. Could be 2 more members for the forum.!

Then Beano Lady she says, "Oh fuck," grabs the Beano before he goes all psycho and such, whisks him out of town back to the hovel to be safe away from all the little idiots.

Well I was in an ill mood from the lines and crowds too, probably worse than him -- I'm a hermit after all -- but swapping vape chatter doesn't interest my husband at all, not being a vaper himself. :D Not sure he even saw the guy, at the lightspeed he was cruising the parking lot. He was blathering on about something ridiculous, so I couldn't even butt in and say HEY, THERE'S A VAPER! :D

Hehe. We do tend to get all blather when we are ready to go. :giggle::blah::blah::xD::xD::bliss::treadmill:

Guess our mowing season is on us here. Sis-in-law apparently gonna go do the weed eating.

I give that five minutes.

About half frustrated at the crappy weed whackers we have myself. Not sure what they managed to get running. Guess I'll be told, usually am. Better idea would be get something that 1. works 2. can be repaired easily enough. No, keep using junk that person can't use without it breaking for looking at it sideways.

They got a couple Stihl weed whackers but these too foul up. Used to be her grand dad's. He had the touch with them. I know to use them, know they need kept up and do my best. Hard keeping good stuff good when three others won't.

:headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang: :gaah::gaah: Can't wait until we can go find our own place. At least then, I'll only blame myself. * chuckles *

We got my husband a name-brand "Weed Eater", electric, for $20 on Amazon. Great tool; it's been going strong for about 4 yrs now. Got a great deal on an electric Black & Decker mower too; our .27 acre yard is so small and he has such a vast amount of heavy-duty electrical cord, we got the kind with a cord, and it's a champ... and I never have to smell the stench of burning gas+oil, which is JUST FOUL. I swear that's what hell itself must smell like -- the only thing worse is road tar. His chainsaw is also electric. Freedom from that foul burning stench is just marvelous (and he doesn't have to break his arm trying to start either the lawn mower or the chainsaw, just hits the "On" switch. :D)

I know a bunch of Vaper's at my office building. In addition, there's a guy working at the grocery store, that I met. The first interaction was, he was complementing my coulds, when I was walking towards the store. After that, we always talk about new vape gear. Meanwhile he's asking me more about the "how to's" for DIY eJuice, since he tasted some of my home brews.

We have 3 acre 'bottom' pasture here as a back yard. Then hills that I almost would say are 80 degree inclines or better. Her dad was out today on the rider mower. I figured right on the sis-in-law doing any weed eating. There was none done. Guess they'll wait and wait then eventually bitch at my wife to bitch at me to do it.

Yes, I know it needs done. I don't mind doing. That isn't the point. When I have to go hunt for something repaired, or parts, or tools and made to feel I have to beg, made to feel second class ... I get the fuck you attitude. Want it done? ....

Then, on top of it they really take no care of anything. Ergo, I have to beat myself up trying get shit to work. Again, the F u attitude. And yes, I try being patient, try being kind, understanding. You can't fix stupid, can't out patient it either.

So yes, I'll be damned glad when me and wife can get out for ourselves.

I wish I could get my husband to vape.

He refuses to get past the coughing we all had when you first start vaping.

Had my GF using my MOD after she got off the plane and was out of Logic Cartridges. She did not like the Tobacco flavor I had in it in but I think I can reproduce something close to a Logic she might like. Can we see a vape pen in her future? I hope!

I never had that at all. In fact I loved vaping right off because I could stand the TH from vaping a lot better than the TH from cigarettes -- I'd been vaping about 3 wks when i realized, I got a lot more TH from vaping than I did from ultra-lights, and it never made me cough -- the cough from the TH is why i had to go to ultra-lights from lights in the first place.

Getting past the throat irritation was the hardest part of quitting for me. Something to do with the the chemicals in cigarettes.

I coughed on my first inhale from an eGo, then treated it more like I a cigar or pipe than a cigarette for a few hours. I still don't do lung hits, but then I never lung-hit my cigarettes either.

I think it has more to do with one of those weird husband/wife things, like I ain't doing it her way and that's all there is to it, lol.

Yeah.. for me, "TH" isn't just in the throat, but the whole mouth, a tingle similar to the bite of a freshly-opened Coke -- at least, I used to like TH that extreme. Part of my continuing process of getting away from cigarettes is that I don't need the TH to be quite as extreme as I did at first, but I still need a *little* sensation, or it's like how it felt to smoke a Carlton... just nothing, just air.

But never got that "new vaper coughing". For the first several months, every now and then, sometimes I'd inhale it oddly, and get to coughing, but it sure wasn't everytime; that might have had more to do with smoking-cessation recovery, than the vaping. For me, the worst sensation when I first started vaping was feeling mucus in my throat, around my vocal cords, just constantly, having to clear my throat before I could say anything. I mostly solved that by using 85% PG -- the mucus in the throat is a sign, to me, that there's too much VG, and it's soon going to be bothering my lungs too.

Well, within my family it's just my mother and I who vape. Both my sisters also quit, but they went cold turkey. None of my co-workers vape, but some have shown an interest. And of course there's everyone down at the vape shop I go to, but I'm only familiar with the staff...Really should hang out there more. Good peoples. And some of the bus drivers vape. One of them I converted myself about 2 years ago.

I can relate to your story, I too didn't know anyone who vaped. I found that if you go to actual vape shops, especially ones that are setup as lounges, kind of like a bar with a few couches etc as well, fellow capers tend to congregate and fellowship. Great place to meet and make new friends. Jmho.
