Armetus 4nine help

I just just received the 4nine from Armetus Custom Mod Creations. Im having issues with it not firing all the time. I have the atty pin sticking out past the insulator on the 4nine cap. The magnet is the newer version where the copper ring will screw up and down for adjustment. I have it in the middle so contact is there on both sides. Im using a efest 18350 flat top battery and its hit or miss when it works. Should I be using a button top? The battery isnt supposed to move up and down in mod when button is pushed is it? (Mine does not) Is the bottom button supposed to come in contact with the magnet when pushed in or is it pushing the battery up to make contact w/ atty? I used a Volt meter and I am getting 4 volts when button is pushed. What am i missing? any idears??? Thanks in advance.

I have had the same issues with a clone of this mod, and concluded that it works better with button tops. I did not test my conclusion yet, I have only flat tops. Would be great if someone out there could confirm

with flattops, the battery moves, with nipple tops it does not. both in 18350, 18650 modes.

Same problem with mine. Specifically flat top EFEST's are a problem. My flat top Sony's seem to work just fine. Don't ask me why...lol

Turk's problem is in 18350 mode - this 18650 isn't gonna fit in 18350 mode.

@Turk, I haven't answered 'cause my clone is original switch type, so I don't know. I do know I don't own any button top batteries. I also know my switch which is accomplished by a copper ring magnetically attached to the negative flat of the battery opposing the magnet of the switch is far from 100% reliable. I rarely use mine 'cause with this switch design it is impossible to eliminate battery rattle.

Edit @Turk ... just did a search to see what the Artemus clone switch is about. It is the same as mine. You should NOT be pushing the battery up the tube to fire. Rather, the contact disc which attaches to the negative battery pole should be oriented so that it opposes the magnet attached to the other half of the button which stays in the tube. The magnetic opposing force is what holds the circuit open. It also holds ("floats") the battery up against the atty center pin.
