Aspire .3 ohm coil

I am using the atlantis aspire V2 with the new Eleaf istick 100watt. The coils say 70-80watts on them. I am tasting a small burnt taste and some throat burn. Should i use it on a lower wattage even though it says 70-80? The ejuice I am using is ANML Looper which is a 80vg/20pg mix. Thanks

The VG may be a little thick and could be causing the burning. Essentially the juice is too thick and it's not wicking properly. Either try a slightly thinner juice (70% VG or lower) or try turning the wattage down and/or the air flow (if you can) Just because the coil says you can vape at that wattage, doesn't mean you have to. It's more of a recommendation. Also could be the nicotine level.

Tip for new users: We strongly suggest 6mg eLiquid or lower with this atomizer. Sub-ohm atomizers produce higher throat hit than low and standard resistance atomizers. Using this atomizer with a nicotine level above 6mg will usually taste burnt or harsh.

Have you primed the wick properly? After that I generally start low, 30 watts ish and move 5-10watts from there. The moment you taste a hint of burn back it down a few. Find the sweet spot and stay there, keep in mind all juices are different so you would have to find the sweet spot for all juices you would be running.

Coils take like a half a day to break in and start wicking properly. Also like Rin13 said you don't have to use it at that high a wattage. I vape my sub ohm tanks at 40 watts and get great flavor and vapor. Coils will last longer also at a lower wattage. In the end do what works and makes you happy !

Yes, those numbers are pointless. Don't listen to them, pretend they're not there, it's marketing.
Start Low work your way up until you find the perfect wattage for you.

Definitely lower the ratio of VG/PG. The Atlantis really won't wick high VG. High VG is for dripping atties. 50/50, 60/40 is okay in the Atlantis. I learned this the hard way. I haven't liked anything in it much above 25 - 30 watts. Find the happy spot.

Totally spot on Rin13! These sub-ohms fly through the juice so you definitely need to drop the nic. The only exception I've found so far is the eGo ONE with TC coils, that thing is a real juice miser!
