Aspire BVC coil resistance

I have a couple questions. Why do people use different ohm BVC coils, I have just used what came with my Aspire ,1.8 ohm? What effect does the ohms have on taste? The other is I have a Smok battery part (adjustable watts and volts) and it goes up to 15 watts and I use it at 9.0 watts , it seems if I go higher it changes the taste for the worse. That is what I am confused about, I read of people Vaping at any where from 10 to 50 watts (not drippers) so why doesn't that ruin the vape flavor and why use that many watts?

I was originally using aspire 1.8 ohm and went down to 1.6, seems like the throat hit is a little better for me. Its all subjective but try some of the lower resistance coils and try it out. As far as wattage to vape at, that is completely subjective and find what works best for u.
