https://www.facebook.com/VapingAssociation?fref=nf They are urging Stronger Regulations then the FDA's Deeming Regulations[ Banning Flavors and Internet Sales] . Bags of loose tobacco for DIY cigarettes are labeled as pipe tobacco to avoid a tobacco tax increase about 5 yrs ago that caused the price of a 1 ib bag of loose leaf tobacco to go from $20 to $40.Te distributor then started labeling bulk loose leaf tobacco as pipe tobacco to avoid the tax increase. This is what this letter from the Attorneys General is all about-the taxes States are loosing tax revenue from people switching to electronic cigarettes and DIY analogs!---A direct quote from the above Document From the Attorneys Generals about Electronic cigarettes-"Regulate pipe tobacco to prevent avoidance of regulations applicable to tobacco actually used as roll-your-own tobacco". Why else would this line be in their letter about Electronic Cigarettes??

IMO trying to ban flavors is a total waste of time. There's no way to ban the concentrated flavorings considering many of these are sold as food and beverage flavorings. People who want to sell flavors other than tobacco or menthol will just go gray market with them and have no trouble finding buyers. This is just history repeating itself, turning law-abiding citizens into criminals.

Here's the original Reuters story: http://in.reuters.com/article/2014/08/08/health-ecigarettes-idINL2N0QE1DF20140808

What I find interesting is that both my state of WA and Colorado say it's ok to smoke weed, but oh noooo...not those e-cigs.

Fucking ridiculous. They really just want the MSA monies replenished, they have admitted it. I know for a fact that WA has used the MSA money for the General Fund, not much else. Even worse, many states, including mine, have BORROWED against future MSA money.

Source: http://www.killthemsa.com/statesgreed.html

Some states have actually taken out loans against future MSA payments… selling bonds with the intention that they would be paid off by future tobacco settlement funds. This has gotten them into even deeper financial trouble.

More than a dozen states have already taken out loans or are in the process, including Alabama, Alaska, California, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Washington, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico

Actually, they have no problem with e-cigs really...they just want to regulate the industry in such a way that they can then tax the piss out of them as they do with any other regulated product...it's about money, only money, and always the money...any other excuse for regulation is a smokescreen...a diversion, a ruse that is simply used as a means to reach their end...money

That is 29 motherfuckers who need ran out of office.
Corrupt weasel shills on the take.
I know for a fact Oregon's ag would rather try and tax everything to death and limit my freedoms but would ignore a complaint with frame work done about a non profit accepting state and federal funding while commit insurance fraud.

Mid terms and state and locals are coming up for a vote I suggest we all shake this nest of corrupt people up and out.

No but the AG is an elected post.
I am going to my everything when this next election cycle starts to make sure she no longer rides the elected free ride.

Yeah, a this last couple years, it seems our state came under attack from the "52%" Socialites.....we've already started taking it back, I will do everything in my power to help wake others around me up from their slumber.

In case others don't know what the "52%" means, in all rigged elections, the winners have between 51% and 53% of the vote. That way it does not seem like it was faked. The Democratic Republican Party has been in back in power since JFK's assassination. I say back in power, because this is the same party that attacked our country in the late 1700 and the early 1800's, once they gained power and changed our laws in order to benefit the Queen and her banking system, they split the party into two, Dems and Repubs, that way they could divide the nation and keep us blind to what their agenda was and is. Keep up fighting one another, when we stop fighting, they give us a blank enemy to fight, IE Terrorist, Russia, Ebola, Illegal aliens, so on and so on. Few of our presidents where elected into office due to their overwhelming popular vote that could not be fudged...IE, LIncoln, Garfield, McKinley and JFK, and Teddy and Ronny were both shot as well....Only way to take back our country, is to destroy the divide they have created by learning to disregard the lies that the US FEDERAL MEDIA OUTLET puts on our tables every day. Everyone should read the art of war, it will clear things up and open up your eyes to the truth. The book is a must read for all seated politician and Military officers with stars on their shoulder, don't you think its worth some of your time....

If you don't like to read that much, here you go, get some coffee and your vape device ready, I'm about to blow your mind....

this is part of the problem.. this is just way too much information for those boneheads to process.. they just accepted weed .. they can't handle the thought of regulating or accepting something else that involves all these new studies lol.. brains can't handle it.

So they are concerned about flavors that are sweet in our e juice drawing kids to use them....so when are they going to take flavored alcohol off the shelfs....vanilla cupcake vodka anyone? They lie to us, but so few of us self educate ourselves in this country it is disgusting. Look at how much they care, they initiated obamacare so that everyone could get affordable healthcare....lol. No , they did it so they could tax everyone at the end of the year for not having it. I couldnt afford health care when it was 800 a month for a family, what makes them think I can afford it now that it is 600? And here is the real shocker, lol, all those who supported it so that they could get federal subsidies to insure themselves and their famalies are going to get it worst, 36 out of the 50 states used services that were designed by the state rather than using the non working federal system, which now cuts those 36 states out of receiving those federal subsidies....THEY USED THE UNEDUCATED POPULATION LIKE A RAG, NOW THEY WILL TOSS THEM. SICK SICK PEOPLE RUN OUR GOVERNMENT.

The Mississippi site is down so I wrote a letter the old fashioned way put it in the mail box. I cant sit by and idly wait for the hammer to drop.

I am a 50 year old female and I smoked 20 cigarettes daily for 34 years. I started dabbling at age 9. I have recently spent a week in the hospital for cardiac issues. While I was in the hospital I found a Blu cigarette that I had purchased a year ago in the bottom of my purse, and I started using it as I could not smoke while in the hospital. It was revolting. When I was discharged from the hospital I did some research online and ordered some V2ecigs for my husband and myself. My husband managed to stop smoking and dipping snuff immediately. However, I continued to smoke 2 tobacco cigarettes in the morning for two days after I commenced the ecigarettes, then I quit completely on the third day.
I have destroyed a large quantity of tobacco that I had purchased duty free. I started vaping ecigarettes on 6/28/2014 and have been tobacco free since 7/1/2014. I am so excited that I have had no desire for a real cigarette since.
In the past I have tried to stop smoking using nicotine replacement therapy and oral medications. I have used the patches on 3 separate occasions and Chantix on 3 separate occasions. Both methods failed miserably I had awful side effects and I really enjoyed smoking tobacco.
I have asthma, emphysema, pneumonia (hospitalized 3 times) and bronchitis every winter due to smoking tobacco. I have noticed improvements in my health already. Prior to vaping ecigarettes, I was coughing, wheezing and short of breath not only in the mornings but throughout the day. I no longer wheeze, cough or have shortness of breath. In fact I have been able to cut down my Advair inhaler to just once daily from twice daily from day two of no tobacco. I anticipate not needing the Advair altogether in the not too distant future. This will be wonderful as it is very expensive.
When I first started using ecigarettes I was using the 24mg strength of nicotine and after one week I am down to 18mg. My husband and I have reduce our e liquid down to 12mg/ml. I am planning on reducing my nicotine intake over a period of time and I would like to do this at my own pace and not feel pressured.
I am not using the first cigalike kit that I first purchased as they are too limiting in flavor (menthol and tobacco). I dislike these flavors so I have upgraded my equipment to an ego twist battery and a tank method of delivery of my e liquids. I have found that I prefer the fruit, beverage and bakery flavors, which is better for me as it is completely unlike tobacco. If I am unable to purchase the variety of flavors that I enjoy, judging from my past experience, I can predict that I will relapse and start smoking tobacco in the future. I really do not want to go back down that road.
My goals for the future are to decrease my level of nicotine, but I will not be able to accomplish this goal using the cigalike ecigarettes. I may even just settle on a low dose 6/3mg. But I want that to be my decision not the governments.
If I do not have the freedom to purchase the supplies necessary to remain tobacco free. I will find a way to continue vaping, by attempting to make may own e liquids.
In regards to children and eliquids if adults are responsible and use common sense and store them appropriately like they would bleach or Tylenol out of reach of children there will be no issues. I only buy eliquids with child proof containers and believe that they should all be sold this way. I have 3 children and thankfully none of them smoke. I am sure they may have tried, as many teenagers do. However, if they did smoke I would prefer that they smoked electronic cigarettes that preliminary research has shown to be safer than combustible tobacco. Studies are also showing that ecigarettes are not a gateway for children to use traditional tobacco. Tobacco products are not sold in child proof containers, I had my first cigarette at age 9 and my smoking habit lasted 34 years.
If unfounded taxes and flavor bans are introduced prior to getting the ecigarette research data, that would be terrible for the people that have nicotine addiction caused by cigarette smoking who have struggled with FDA approved substances. I would go so far as to say a death sentence.
You are in a position to help save lives, I beg you to get all the facts before implementing the proposed rulings. This innovation will save the lives of Mississipians. Please do not condemn us.
If one of your children decided to smoke, which product would be less dangerous?
Thankfully I have been able to make an informed decision based on the research available. I chose to quit smoking cigarettes and reduce my nicotine addiction by using ecigarettes. This would be a crime if others will not have this same choice.
My father died of lung cancer 2 years ago; he gave up smoking 10 years prior. It was a terrible death. Please give me and others like me the opportunity to increase our odds of survival; and the freedom to choose an alternative for the dangerous habit of smoking, chewing, dipping tobacco products.
If I could convert one tobacco smoker to try ecigarettes a day, to help them quit traditional cigarettes I will. I carry a new ecigarette kit with me every day to try and help a smoker quit.
What are you prepared to do for your community, city, State and loved ones?
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Heidi K Cummins

As the state's chief legal advisor and the chief law enforcement officer the real question is how has vaping and the equipment used to vape caused crime to rise in their states. LOL They want more control and cash. Need more cash from somewhere to continue this campaign of control. Vaping needs serious regulations. why ? BECAUSE 29 state attorneys say so.

Nice to see Doug Gansler on this list. He has such wonderful judgement. He went to a party where a bunch of teenagers were drinking and spends a good bit of time there. Later on, when it was discovered that the kids got drunk and Mr. Gansler was present, he swore no knowledge of it.

Such wonderful judgement and vision... How in the hell does he "represent" me? He doesn't.
