Austrian Adventures in vaping

My recent vacation found me leaving the airport with none of my personal stash. And having to buy premium juice before I boarded the plane.

This juice was anything but premium We may have piss for beer. But you Canadians have shit for taste buds and premium juices. I'm just sayin

After arriving in Austria I figured I would keep an eye out for a vape store. And was sadly disappointed by the lack thereof. Even sadder was the limited selection of juices, when I finally found a B&M.

To bring up a bad subject, this was a BLU store outlet. And I literally blew the guys mind asking for strawberries and cream juice. Selection was very limited, 10-15 single source flavors. The Strawberry, was good. Not the best by far, but it was actually much better than I expected. And much cheaper than that damn Canadian premium juice.

If any place is rip for the picking, Austria is it. I can't say that vaping is big there, I never saw anyone vaping the entire 3 weeks we were there. But I can say that they are in dire need of a wider product selection. And places to get that product.

And BTW, while I'm bashing on you Canadians. Bordeaux wine is only $3.50 for a 750ml bottle in Austria. Eat your over priced hearts out.

Yup, it's called me being a dumbass.

After spending the entire day flying into Vancouver. I parked my arse on the bench outside, pulled out my bag of juice, filled my tank, and had myself a vape.

Afterwards I got up and walked off, with ALL my juice still lying on the bench. Needless to say it wasn't there when I came back the next day.

years ago there used to be a pretty popular reviewer from Austria.I assumed vaping was popular there.....

I thought so too. But it's definitely not as popular as it is in North America. It's like a desert

Smoking is still very much accepted by the public there. Restaurants still provide ashtrays and a place to smoke. Hell, I was even invited into a book store with a cigarette dont ask We stayed at one nice hotel that had a smoking room that was simply amazing, and most provided ashtrays on the balconies, even though the rooms were non smoking.

I saw my first vending machine in over 20 years there, they were everywhere. They controlled the sales at those machines, by requiring a state issued ID to be slid into the machine to verify your age.

I hate to admitt it but I did the same thing with an expensive fly rod.....spent the weekend fishing packed up the truck to go home left the rod leaning against a tree....still makes me mad.

I was in Berlin, Germany for 10 days last November (2015). I didn't see one other person vaping. Even during intermission at shows - when everyone rushes outside for a smoke - I didn't see one vaper. Searched out several B&M stores, hardware selections were much more limited and the liquid selection was abysmal. One store only had '0' and '18' mg/ml liquid.

That's what the United States will look like soon - only worse.
