Baby Beast RBA

Hi everyone, a couple of months ago I quit smoking and started vaping. Down to 3 mg, aiming for zero... Thing is, I'm really enjoying different flavors! I will continue vaping.
I got a Smok Alien, and bought another Baby Beast. I wonder if it's worth getting the RBA's for both tanks, and learning to build on them. Are they too complicated? Would I get better flavor?
Thanks!

I'll never buy another coil now that I am using the RBA. It's just so much more cost effective than buying remade coils. I wouldn't buy a tank like that (which takes pre made coils) unless an RBA is available for it

Yeap, I got tired of buying Smok coils. Unfortunately, I just got the Crown 3 lol hope they come up with an RBA - I like it better than the Baby Beast.

Agree with above. The disposable coils are junk. Rba is awesome. And having spares ready means you build and wick when you want because swapping rba's is fast and easy. Also, the claptons that come in them are pretty darn good. Can dry burn and rewick many, many times before they need rebuilt.

How often do you usually need to change the cotton?
Depends on what you're vaping. Really sweet juices gunk coils faster, as do darker juices. I've gone a week on the same cotton with some, had to re-wick the day after for others. When the taste seems "off" or muted, check your cotton.

They're different, as they're different sizes. Basic setup is the same.

The one from my BBB doesn't fit in my BB.
I use the BB rba on my BBB? Just had to buy a taller glass. Guess it just doesnt work the other watt around. Witch is weird

Thanks. I'm trying to figure out the amount of sweetner on my favorite juices, but they're all pretty clear actually.

Unless time is of the essence, Fasttech has the replacement glass dirt cheap, less than 2 bucks for two pieces. And the color changing glass is under $2 per piece.

Fer real! I refuse to be a slave to stock coils, costs as much to smoke!

You have the right idea but the baby beast rba deck is not the easiest to build on and the performance isnt all that. i learned to build on the baby rba and it can be tough due its small deck and tiny juice channels. i can highly recommend the kylin RTA or even a tfv8.

Yes, I agree. But I've heard that earlier versions of the Kylin have deck and leakage issues, and I got confused on which RTA to buy lol
Right now I have these on my list:

Fixed Kylin
IJoy Exo
I Joy Limitless Plus
Griffin AIO

Until I pull the trigger, I've decided to get the RBA for my Baby Beast, and kind of improvise. I've been trying to get as much information as I can, so I don't have to rely on $$$ vape shops anymore.

I have an original and colored version 2.0. The original does have some minimal leaking issues, its more like a condensation actually. But the 2nd version doesnt leak at all. But I got the colored version in green because at that time they had not updated the black or stainless steel versions. Ive had almost 2 months and half the paint has flaked off on the deck section knurling...so i recommend the stainless version 2.0 which is now available...

Thanks, does the new black and stainless versions of the Kylin come with the top chimney cap?
Are you talking about the extension? If so yes it does. Also I have the red version and it hasn't lost any paint at all. I guess it depends on where your using it. Definitely a favorite of mine though

Nope, the top chimney cap.
Anyway, I got the Baby RBA - went to a vape shop and the kid taught me to build. It's not that hard but after we finished...
The mod kept jumping resistances, reading ohms too low. Sometimes it would vape fine for a few puffs then nothing.
I've noticed that with the RBA it doesn't screw into my mods flush (I have the Alien and Minikin 2), and the problem happened with both. Do I have a defective unit, or maybe I'm not doing something right???

I think that there are a bunch of videos addressing issues with the rba on YouTube. I think. My bbb rba works great. Like really really well. I hope you can get it figured out!

Yeah, I looked them over, but I definitely got a lemon.
Still, I did realize how easy building will be on a bigger deck. I went to a vape shop and we did some troubleshooting. Managed to get a few nice puffs, the flavor is definitely better...

It can be difficult to get the deck screwed on exactly right. Just a smidge off and you'll have problems such as you described.

Yes, and it was difficult for me to tuck in the cotton because I'm old lol
That thing is tiny, but I got a bad one for sure.

What type of wire / gauge etc. did the vape shop put in?

I believe it was a Clapton, a tad thicker than the ones that came with it. When it worked, wow. Much better flavor. Store will send me another one...
That's when I realized that I've got to get me a dripper to chill at home, and a nice RTA/RDTA to be out and about.

This was the build...

Dual Clapton's. I tried Clapton's in the tank before, it got way to hot. I only need 40 watts pretty much never go above that. By preference I stick to simple builds like 24 ga. Kanthal or 26 ga. SS316. 6 wraps each 2.5m.
