Baby Beast RDA

The Baby Beast comes with an RDA in the box. Am I correct in thinking that all I have to do is chuck some cotton into the coil and it's good to go? I know nothing about building coils, so please use small words. :) Thanks!

Before wicking it, make sure to dry burn the coils to make sure they are heating up evenly. Then you'll be good to wick it. I'm using the rba deck on my Cloud Beast also. So love this tank.

Ok. And then when the cotton gets funky, just chuck it and replace it, yes?

Yes. But make sure that you dry burn the coils again. That way the coils will be clean for the new cotton.

@PhantomOp made a wicking tutorial thread, if it gives you trouble.
Also, check out a vid or 2 on the youtube about coil prep and cleaning.

I enjoy using mine with my own coils. The stock coils aren't great, but they aren't terrible.

Good luck!

Thanks! Making my own coils is out because of the whole Ohm/resistance kind of thing. I'm not mathy and don't get all of that stuff. :D

If you can divide by 2, you can build coils. LOL

Or you can buy them prebuilt. Good quality coils can last for months. You just clean and rewick every few days. Wicking is actually the hardest part.

It really is quite simple, you don't even have to do math in your head. You can use your smartphone, computer etc....

If you have a .5Ω coil and you are putting two on the build deck, then divide by 2.

0.5 / 2.0 = 0.25Ω [ i.e. -- Half of original value ]

Use Steam-Engine.com for helping make coils as well.

That^^^

And since you're using a regulated mod(Alien, yes?) if you build below it's limit, it will say "Ohms Too Low" or "Atomizer Short", instead of going ":bomb:".

Yup, and a RX2/3. Both should show errors though, yes?

I dunno, maybe some day down the road, I may attempt it. I still have a box of pre-made coils to get through and they've been lasting me a good while (a month or so each). But thanks for the push, guys. :)

Yessum, both those mods are as "safe" as it gets. And both have a lower limit of 0.1ohms in wattage mode, IIRC. I have a couple of Aliens, myself. Still got all my fingers :D

I, and I'm sure PhantomOp and others here, will be happy to help if/when you decide to take the plunge.

Oh, and I did watch a couple of vids about burning and wicking the RBA I have. I think I've got the idea. We'll see once I get some cotton wicking material. :)

I once said I'll never build once I got my baby beast yet here I am with the BB RBA building. Haven't bought a pre-constructed coil since. And believe me OP, the regulated mods will definitely tell you if something's not kosher. "Don't abuse protects" was a common theme on my Alien until I nailed it down.
