Bad wicking.

Maybe a silly question but can a bad wicking can cause my coils resistance to drop? I have got pre-made 0.6 clapton coils. My setup is a dual coil so I believe I should read 0.3 ohm but my device indicates 0.18 or so. Should I re-wick the coils?

Bad wicking no, bad installation yes.
Check to see that the coil body doesn't touch the posts or deck anywhere other then with the legs and that the legs are cut properly so that they don't touch the other coil from the other side.

You were right: I did it wrong. I moved one of the coils slightly while rewicking and I'm back to 0.28. Thanks for the help :)

what Honda said... sounds like you need to tighten your post screws.
also if its SS claptons the resistance will fluctuate slightly
