Batteries in regulated mods

So I just got four yellow MXJO batteries to use in my Sig100 so I can save my four VTC5's for my mechs since they have a higher amp limit.

My question is I know the continuous amp limit on the MXJO's is 20, so am I good to run my drippers down to .2 ohms with these? Or does the amp limit double since I'm using two batts?

I'm inclined to think that bc they're in series, my amp limit is still 20. Just looking for confirmation.

If the batteries are in series... it doubles the voltage. If they are in parallel it doubles the capacity ( mah ) and therefore the potential amp draw.

Ah, I meant parallel. So I'm running at 40 amp limit?

20 amp batteries are all I use in my Sig 100 watt box. Not familiar with the MXJO battery but if it's a true 20A, you should be fine. How you liking the box so far?

Oh I love my Sig100! It's my daily driver with either a Stillare and Chuff cap or CLT V2 Plus.
I recommend it to anyone interested in higher power box mods.

Yes I highly recommend them as well. I have a Doge X on mine now that I cloud the house with.

The sig 100's chipset is a SX-330...it's a step down DC/DC converter that runs it's batteries in series to get the high input voltage needed to power the chip....that being said 20 amp continuous batteries should run it just fine. The max the chip used in the 100 watt pulls is 20 amps. But still it's good to know what your mod is doing and that it's not running in parallel.

If you get the new Segeli 150 watt you might want to get a set of VTC4's for it, if they're using Yihi's 150 watt chip it has a max amp input of 40 amps and from looking at the spec sheet it also is a input voltage stepdown converter.

Food for thought....happy vaping!
