Battery A limit

Hello i am sorry if this has been asked and sorry for the stupid question.
My question is that if my setup requires lets say 40A and my battery only has a limit of 30A but i have 2 of em on the mod does that make it okay? I mean 30+30 sounds like 60 but i have no understanding of how electricity works.

1) need to know more of your set up (mod, atty, build resistance etc)
2) what battery? there are no 40 amp batteries and I doubt your battery is 30 amp. the wrappers lie, so what battery is it?

2 30 amp batteries in series is still only 30 amps.... batteries in parallel will multiply the amps but at 1/2 the voltage output.
