Battery choice

I just got a new kangertech Kbox 120 watt and purchased the Efest 18650 2500 mah high drain batteries will those be sufficient? Better question are they compatible

IMHO, Efest batteries are questionable to begin with as they are well known for re-wrapping batteries not to mention that they tend not to live up to the specifications.

I would get the LG 20 amp X 3000 mAh batteries instead.

In short, I just do not trust the suckers!

They'll work fine but Efest is a re-wrap of a Samsung or LG and at best are a 20Amp battery not what they print on the label. I always recommend staying with an OEM like Sony, Samsung or LG as they make the batteries everyone re-wraps. And I recommend buying from Liionwholesale.com as a trusted dealer. Lots of fakes floating around. I'm sure others will chime in with other trusted dealers. NEVER buy a battery with fire in its name.

Moving this over to the Batteries sub...

Those Efest batteries that claim to be 35 amp are usually re-wraps of some actual manufacturer's castoff 20 amp cells - I don't like the fact in the first place that you're paying more for the cells that may not have passed QC at the manufacturer than you'd pay for legit, first-rate cells. Even worse, I don't like the fake specs that make you feel like you're safe when you might not be. Worst of all, I've heard rumors of some of these batteries recently turning out to be only 10 amp cells marked with a 35A rating - those would be downright dangerous.

Unless you're one of the unlucky ones who got the 10A cells instead of the 20A, you'll probably be safe - but I wouldn't buy those again...

Right I had no idea. I might be able to trade them out cuz they haven't filled the order yet

IMHO, cancel the order and then re-order good batteries.

You can skimp and save on E-Liquids and even downsize the mod of your dreams but never, ever skimp and save on your batteries.!!

Lose the Chinese rewrap batteries and get samsungs, sonys (cautiously as fakes are rampant in the market), or LGs.

Return the Efest asap and snag up LG or Samsung. I recommend the HG2s.

HG2s for the win and junk that Efest garbage.
