Battery recommendation (Safety and Performance)

Hello,

I just recently upgraded to the TopBox Mini by Kangertech from a cheaper, internal battery type mod and I was hoping for some advice on the best batteries to look for. I know that there are differences in what material is used in them, their discharge capacity and overall storage capacity, however in doing some research on my own, I found myself a bit overwhelmed.

My TopBox Mod is rated at 75 watts and I prefer to use Clapton Coils .5 ohms. I have found with the e-juice I use that I get pretty good clouds at around 35-37 watts. The battery I am currently using is a Lit IMR 18650 3.7v 3400mAh 35A. I got it at a local vape shop but I have a feeling I can find better batteries online.

Based on that information, does anyone have a suggestions for batteries that are relatively safe and provide good performance based on my usage?

Thanks,
Foggy

Your battery is a rewrap, have no idea what Lit stands for.
If it has higher capacity then 3000 mAh then it's most likely only a 10A battery, which is only to be used up to 30W

For best performance and capacity, you should use one of the following 20A 3000 mAh batteries
Samsung 30Q: http://liionwholesale.com/search?type=product&q=30Q
LG HG2: http://liionwholesale.com/search?type=product&q=hg2
And stay away from rewraps.

Thanks nightshard! In looking at batteries I also found the Sony US18650VTC5 2600mAh. Do you have any experience or thoughts on that battery?

Again, thanks!

Samsung 25r 18650, have the same starter mod you just got and that's what I have been using in it

Thanks for your help all! I got the LG H2's and could not be happier. Snagged an Xtar VP4 charger as well and now I am all set. Really appreciate everyone's suggestions. :)

Thanks,
