Battlefield Portal is a New Battlefield 2042 Mode That Will Mash Together Every Battlefield Into One

The next big Battlefield 2042 mode has been officially revealed at EA Play Live. Called Battlefield Portal, the new mode developed by Ripple Effect Studios (formerly DICE LA) lets players create complex custom game modes using assets from Battlefield 2042, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3.

Battlefield Portal is a creation suite inspired by community feedback that lets players create custom games using a powerful Logic Editor. Do you want units from 1942 and Bad Company 2 to fight in Battlefield 3 maps? You can, but Battlefield Portal allows for more sophisticated modes than that.

Create knives versus defibrillators battles, or send an army of drones to take down a WW2 tank. Battlefield Portal puts a lot of power in the players' hands to really go wild with custom ideas you can then share with the community.

Weapons

• 40+ Weapons from 3 Theaters of War
• M1 Garand, Panzerschreck, G3, M416 and more
• Battlefield 2042's All-Out Warfare Arsenal

Vehicles

• 40+ Vehicles from 3 Theaters of War
• The Spitfire and B17 Bomber, plus the Quad Bike and Little Bird
• Battlefield 2042's All-Out Warfare array of vehicles

Gadgets

• 30+ Gadgets from 3 Theaters of War
• Reconnaissance items such as the MAV and Radio Beacon alongside the Defibrillator and EOD Bot
• Battlefield 2042 Gadgets

Armies

• Classic Factions letting you mix and match between 7 different armies from the Classic titles plus Battlefield 2042's Specialists
• Armies such as 1942's UK, US, and Germany as well as Bad Company 2's US and Russia will feature exclusively in Battlefield Portal

Soldiers

• Soldier archetypes like Battlefield 3's Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon roles for example

Battlefield 2042 is EA's next multiplayer shooter. Set in the future, players will experience large-scale, 128-player multiplayer matches. But natural disasters like hurricanes will also ravage the map so be careful where you tread.
