I have it! I love it! I'm gonna have to make a new build on my mutation x to get the full experience. This is my first big box mod.

;) Now get building! Remember you don't have to go too low for series ... Hope I get mine next week this time.

In parallel it takes a few seconds to fire these big daddies. In series it's almost instant!
That's a 3/32 wrap.

I like to stay around the .3-.2 range with box mods, and I can still use that on a tube mod.

What!? That sucks.. You were 129 after me. If they have 4 guys I bet they might build 10-15 boxes a day... Maybe.. I'm just guessing.. But maybe two more weeks.

I honestly wasn't prepared for how big it was. I'd never held a Hammond box before. I couldn't imagine any bigger.

It's awesome. I use the build I showed you almost all day in series mode. A smaller build, in parallel, would last a while! The small covering around the switch came off and will rattle around in the box until I glue it back on. But other than that I love it. My wife uses an MVP 2 and thinks my box is huge. It is big. I think I might prefer a Hammond g box size.

Good to know. I usually build dual coils from 0.11-0.7 ,going to rebuild my Airek to around 0.3 to see how that works with both parallel & series. I hope it holds up parts coming off? Saw the 420 guy have his volt meter fall off..Yes the Hammond G is smaller but is the one they use that large? Is it close to the IPV 3 size?

Well I received it today not a bad device. It's not much bigger then the IPV3 about 1/4 in weight and height fits good in the hand.Had to glue the volt meter back ,o_O super glue did not hold.I have a .28 build on my Dark Horse ,have not tried a lower build yet.I'm happy...:D

Yes. I just can't switch it off. And the switch cover fell off.. The switch from parallel to series.

I don't have a switch on the meter only the parallel-series one.

I see how the switch works now, and why they say not to change it underload.

Damn you guys are talking about being orders 500-600 only a month ago, I just ordered today and I'm number 1533, hopefully they are better at sealing everything down and together 1000 boxes later. :)

Yeah good luck. It took about 19 days to get mine. They may have gotten better with shipment times but I think they should go longer than 9 days. LOL

I messaged the owner to see if they had any used pre-builts laying around the shop, unfortunately they didn't and they said they don't do rush orders.

Luckily he did inform me the wait time at the moment is about 7 days. How is the voltage drop? Im worried about drop because of the LEDs and DFPT switch. I spent the last of my vape budget for a year maybe more on this box so I need some reassurance in my decision. How is your's?

Don't worry about voltage drop with this box,I don't have the halo but LEDs don't use much power. These boxes are made to order and it's a small shop, all depends on how many they have in front of you.Just follow the guides on how low to build for series v parallel .I build higher now no need to build crazy low anymore.

Hey I have one last question if youre still following which may sound ridiculous.. but I know series limit is .28 but I have a .27 build in my derringer that I really love using. Is that safe? Id hate for it to break on a .27 build and them say,

"We said .28!"

Then use it in parallel only, believe me you don't need to try that in series. They tell you to start around .5 and see if you can handle that first in series. Like I said start building higher, that's 7+ volts your talking about.Have a .35 build on a Dark Horse and try a few rips in series..a 2-3 sec ones...Do get some good batteries just for this mod that have not been used before, and only use them for it.

TimB gives good advice. .28 @ 8.4v (series) is pushing 30amps at 252watts. In parallel mode that same build is 15amps @ 63watts
Use Steam Engine calculator It will take the guess work out of the equation (what am i doing up this late)

@TimB you mentioned earlier that you see how that switch works.. I've had mine a couple of months and really like it, but it won't fire in series any longer. It still fires in parallel. Do you have any insight into how our why this may be? Or what could be the cause of this?

I looked at the picture you posted the switch looks simple it just bridges the contacts. Is everything making contact when in the series position ? That sucks I would contact them and send it back it's not your fault.Lifetime warranty right use it! And if something is loose you don't want a short in the box..The battery sled contacts are not that heavy I added a little rubber under them to give it more spring. The switch and the sled are the weakest parts of the whole box..

As long as it took for me to receive my box after payment I'm not jumping to send it back to them for free..
