With the new resurgence in benzaldehyde awareness, it seems appropriate to touch on some of the data (or lack thereof) surrounding this chemical compound.

I realize the video is 10 minutes long, but there are some solid points made in it, and the conclusion is worthwhile.

TL;DW: the most comprehensive study on benzaldehyde and e-juices at the moment is by James Pankow, and his study leaves a lot to be desired. Would you be willing to donate to a crowdfunding campaign to get 100-300 e-juices tested for this chemical compound?

Interesting indeed and a good cause, but we don't allow campaigning for crowdfunding on this forum.

No worries, I'm not campaigning, I'm simply trying to get a feel for how many people actually care about this.

See/read Dr. F's take on this.

Personally, I'm not worried.

This is the vague report that started this. (At least I'm thinking so.)
It really is old news.

That's fair. Just a note though, Farsalinos did not disagree with anything I said in the video. I tried bringing forth as much evidence as there is on this topic, and the amount of inhalation studies are scarce - but the few that exist point to known exposure limits, with side effects of central nervous system damage. So it seems to me that it would be reasonable to call for more research.

With regards to what's in e juice, it's sad when Pankow's very opaque information aggregation is all we have to rely on.
