Looking for a better way to store my flavors. When I first started out. This was OK I'd just dump em on the bed or table and find the one I need.. now months later I've got 300+ bottles of flavorings bags are fuller than they look ;) :D . And plan to get more lol and this process takes forever now to find the flavors I need. I may just end up building a cabinet out of 1by2 wood from home depot if I caint find and good suggestion's what do you guys store your flavorings in? Thanks in advance for your replies :)IMG_20170308_144459.jpg

Got the baskets 2 or 3 for a dollar from the dollar store but cant remember where the case came from....a hardware or crafts store maybe? Its a stackable sterilite with convenient carrying handle . If you go shopping bring a few bottles to be sure its tall enough for them though, I bought some that were too short at first.

Yeah I got a container that I store flavors in the top then can remove the top and I keep my VG, PG and nic in the bottom. I keep smaller bottles of the VG and nic that I just refill when I need too. Don't really feel like lugging around gallons of liquid when I'm ready to mix. Although I've got lots of kids so I store my stuff way out of the way.

I'm in similar case than you. I got 3 plastic medium size baskets (similar than this http://www.nbtopgear.com/products/Plastic-Basket-Organizer-767715.html), and I place around 3-4 ziploc bags by basket. Each bag is a category with a sticker on it : Vanilla and cream, tobacco 1, tobacco 2, mint, drinks, fruits, desert 1, desert 2, etc. The 3 baskets are stored in the back of my fridge, so they always stay cold. Now I mainly buy 10 ml bottles because I have too much 30 ml bottles full, and space is lacking. My system is not impressive, but probably one of the better option to keep ingredients for a long run.

I have the same case, got it at Target and need another set. Then in their kitchen aisle, I opted for clear divider trays, then labeled sections so I'll know what's where. Under those, I placed that thick, kinda spongey shelf liner that can be cut into whatever size - had that on hand already. Keeps the trays from sliding around all over the place, since it's kinda grippy.

Both good ideas, the baskets lose a small amount of space because theyre wider at the top. When I had enough room, sliding was a problem but now theyre packed so tight they dont budge lol. I may go get the dividers they look like they fit perfect. What are they sold for, you remember?

Buy bigger bottles. Don't remember what size they are, perhaps 60 ml? They're chodey lookin'. That way I only gotta buy 3 or 4 at a time. Leave one in the car, another in the living room, another in my room next to computer, and a fourth as a backup. Once a week or so, go to your neighborhood vape store and buy more juice. When you're done with the bottles you can throw them away.....or be like me and let them pile up around the house like a damn degenerate hoarder for no reason.

Edit: It appears I made the error in thinking this was about e-juice making flavors, and not the juice itself. Was thinking, you people sure got a lot of them tiny bottles. o_O

The ones I have out to use are in snack size zip locks and the bags are arranged alphabetically. The bags go in the cheap Dollar Tree plastic bins, which sit down in my desk drawers. I have a book that tells me what's in all the alphabetically labeled bags. So if I need...say... FA coconut, I go to my book and see that it's in bag C-7. Easiest system yet, mega-cheap. And I lucked up on the desk at a yard sale for $35, shelving was $15 per set at Walmart. ;):D

Thanks!
I guess, unless actual mixing of those "special" juices is occurring, the Black Chicken is kept outdoors?

Of course...it would hardly be sanitary to keep the bona fide voodoo mixin' chicken anywhere near my desk...

Phew, I'm sure glad I can manage with just a handful of flavors! Kudos to you guys, you are Professors of mixing! I try to keep it to just a few flavors because I am worried of just this issue (and funds)

No, I don't consider myself a professor of anything, except maybe hoarding. Lol! As far as flavors, it's around 700-750. As far as bottles of flavors, it's likely over 1,000 because of repeats in the freezer. It's a hobby/obsession that I enjoy more than any other, and I feed it well. Lol!

WOW!! That's a lot of possible recipes to make! :D If you don't mind me asking how long ago did you start DIY?

On my first order I got 26 flavours and have realized that I shouldn't have gotten all of them in a 30ml size and maybe done a bit more research on a few of them. That was just under a month ago. However I do have 20 more flavours coming next week. There were about 4 that I wanted to get but were out of stock and maybe 10 or so that are on hold until my next order. (Probably in another month the way things are going!)

But this time I've done a fair bit of research on them. Most of them are in 10ml and one only 3ml. Storage of the flavours hasn't been a problem yet but I really like some of the methods shown here. I'm sure that as my inventory / collection / OBSESSION grows I'll have to incorporate something similar. ;)

I've been doing it a little over 2 years. And I do remember when all my little 3 dram flavor bottles fit in a 4"x4" cardboard box. Lol! But then I joined a certain vaping forum (ahem!) and dove in reading like a thirsty horse. I learned from some pretty incredible people who cared enough about this community and really went the extra mile to make sure we were properly advised. Then I started following a certain guru who REALLY gave it his all in doing actual research to make sure we invested in flavors that would do us no harm in our journey (BIG ahem!!... @HeadInClouds), and thusly spreading the dilemma known as the "one flavor short" syndrome....HA! It's taken me a very long time to make sure that doesn't happen to me ever, ever....oh, who am I kidding, it still happens, just not as often....LOL!

Not quite 2 years for my mixing journey, but I "only" have 240 flavors... hangs head in shame...

Right now I store my flavors in parts/fishing tackle cases. I have one for fruits, one for tobaccos, and one for everything else. In three months I get my man/vape cave when my youngest daughter gets married. I'm thinking the nail polish racks will work well until I reach @Teresa P numbers...

That's a lot of flavours amassed in a couple years. Although if I keep at my current rate of approx. 20 per month that would be almost 500 in two years. I think I'm always about 50 flavours short right now. ;)

Along with my OCD in researching new and interesting flavours and the help of many MEMBERS of a CERTAIN forum (double ahem) I can see this becoming an enjoyable problem. However one thing that might save me a bit is that I don't like many bread / cake / cookie type flavours at all. And also very few custards and creams. Although I am getting the ingredients to try and make a Creamsicle flavour.

I really like seeing others' creative ideas for storing their flavours and supplies. It helps me to be creative and come up with storage solutions that suit my needs. As it stands now looking through 26 flavours seems to be a pain. I'm sure that at some point an alphabetical system is the best. For now I was thinking of storing according to brand until I get enough where that doesn't help much.

I love those racks, just don't have that kinda wall space.

No, it's ok. We're nearly in the same, plus we have the same storage! We'll be our own group. :kickbutt:

Not the best photo. This set up works for me. I keep sandpaper by my bench to flatten the bottle top to write on it. Top containers are FA flavors. Next down are TFA on left and CAP and FW on the right. The one or two letters on top help prevent having to lift every bottle to see the label.

That still happens to me, too - usually as I browse new flavors on a vendor's website, which is often when I realize I've "needed" it all along.

Mine are stored in ziplock bags inside Sterilite containers. Like my desk, it looks cluttered & disorganized, but I know right where everything is.

I can relate, I've had "organized mess syndrome" for years. Lol!
