Curious as to why? Is the Ares board known to be flawed? Or just for better TC with the DNA? Or other reasons?
They seem to have a higher failure. At least I see it talked about much more than the DNA. The DNA has an electronic laquer seal on it. Also, if there's a problem, DNA parts and services are a lot easier to come by. Even without TC the DNA is just a better more precise board. Maybe it's another psychological quirk, but I just automatically associate the Rev 4b with DNA 60.

I'm not at all saying that the 70 watt Ares version is worthless. It's a lot less money for one thing and it gives life to the BB form factor for that savings. For a lot of people I'm sure it's great. i don't know, I just always seem to find myself recommending the DNA version. That little voice inside or something. (ok, now everybody knows I'm a weirdo  )

Lmao. :giggle: I can't help it. I just can't put non transparent on a Authentic, I just can't. And it doesn't look good with any of them :(
At least I found it a home, where it can be out, and feel fancy free to frolic in the fields :tantrum:
As the snow flies
On a cold and gray Chicago mornin'
A poor little MOP button is born
In the ghetto

And his mama cries
'Cause if there's one thing that she don't need
It's another hungry mouth to feed
In the ghetto

I read on one of the FB groups that black and silver are the “easiest” to get. People want the funkier colors, I’m thinking. And the black and silver are always available. I’m aiming for a silver one the next time I have the money(c’mon stimulus check!). I have a lot of ideas for that one.....I’ve got a RPG, which I adore.

The silver is special. All of the others will say Fawkes, RPG, Kurbis, Unicorn Poo, etc. on the box label. For the silver it just says Billet BoX. Got'a love it. It's like getting the original authentic.

I'm also seeing numerous complaints about high parasitic draw draining batteries at an alarming rate. So far I have not seen a solution for it.

On the Ares version you mean. Yes, I forgot about that. There is a discussion on POTV I think I saw it. i believe it's an Asmodus chip on an SXK manufactured board. I could be wrong about that.

Gun might be more handy right now.... lol
Did you have a Vapeshell before when you had a BB?

No, I gave up the BB when the shell was released.

And it would be “another gun”

Sucks I have to buy the Pussy Clip guns being in California 10rd max.

Not that I wouldn’t buy 15+ round mags... eh I’ll lurk the G26’s and 10/12rd mags

Isn’t that I can’t physically have larger clips, well lawfully I can’t

Still much easier to have clips shipped to me than travel.

But yeah... I imagine I’d own a lot more guns if I lived in Arizona or Texas

Ok, so ive acquired some older occ coils and ive heard they work with the billet box...My thoughts were that it would press down into the o ring at the bottom of the boro but thats not the case at all for me...Am i missing something with all this?

Your mod should of came with a Kanger adapter, that goes on the coil, then gets put in the boro.

The OCC bridge contains a small threaded ring and a chimney that press fits into the top of the coil. The small threaded ring is screwed onto the bottom of the coil and is what seals to the o-ring at the bottom of the boro tank. Once that is placed in the tank the chimney can be inserted into the top of the coil and you should be all set. By older OCC I'm assuming you mean the square ones. I've never tried them but they should fit the same as the newer round OCC and SSOCC coils.

What they said. Ring goes down by the insulator, chimney pushes into the top of the coil.

The original is packaged in the box like this:

And it looks like this:

If you bought a clone it would come rolled up in a little plastic bag labeled as Kanger. Both pieces are together.

If you purchased a used unit I don't know what to tell you. It may have wondered off somewhere during its existence. Probably heard what happened to Dubya314's MOP button. :sneaka:

I got it all working but i dont think its as good as the kanger rba for flavor and again i end up with dry hits as with the kanger rba...i drilled out the juice holes..cotton just barely snug between a simple spaced 5 wrap 26g coil (.49ohm) and the cotton is tucked down with end of the fibers just off the deck..(23 watts)Kanger and i not getting along..lol.

The Xeta is just way better. Never gonna get there with the Kanger either way, imo.
After I wick the Kanger RBA or OCC, I take a sewing needle and poke a hole in the cotton. Helps with the dry hits.

Has anyone tried the KRMA rba?
I've got the karma sxk in my orange box. It's pretty good. I run it with the second to smallest airflow plug for mtl but need the smallest for a good mtl. Have tried it dtl.

On that note I'm really liking the vapesnail with no inserts. Great flavor imo. Running a 2x28ss /36n80..55-.6 about 22 watts. Mmm mmm
