Boreas deck busted.

So somehow one of my screw drive tips broke inside the hex head. Thus screw is stuck on the deck post to coil wire.
Any ideas removing the stuck screw or am I screwed? Lol
I'm boiling the deck now trying to lose the screw but I'm really pissed that the bit broke inside the hex head of the screw. I'll Post a pic in a minute.

The only think I can think of is drilling through the center with a small diameter drill bit. A bit tricky to do I would think. Your tip can't be that hard if it broke off at the tip.

My Boreas grub screws were a bit sticky right out of the box. I unscrewed them carefully.

That's a trick pic. Where's the other post? You may be able to drill into that thing and break it up.

Took the positive post out, so I don't damage or bend it while trying to remove the stuck screw from the negative post. I tried boiling it so far and heating it with a torch. I need to go get a reverse bit.

Last resort, lock it down in a hobby vise and try tapping it out with a needle. Set the needle in the crevice and tap on it trying to get it to spin counter clockwise.

Youll need a drill press to drill it I fear.

Just go out and get a small tap and die kit

Why are you tightening the screws or any part of the atty that much? Once you get it out. I suggest when tighten screws in future. Holding Tool with 2 finger tips ONLY.

Not sure if screw extractors, i.e. "Easy Outs" exist in sizes that small..... Hmmmm.

If the tip broke easily then it's cheap Chinese steel. A titanium drill bit, variable speed drill and the smallest screw extractor from a set should do the job - if it's actually worth doing. Heating it with a torch may have made the job harder due to oxidation between the metals from the heat. I know if it was mine I'd just buy another. By the time you buy the extractor and bit you're halfway to a new tank.
