I am fairly new to vaping and therefore just practising my wicking on my Griffin rta (24 kanthal, 0.25 ohms, 60 watts). That said, I noticed that after a couple tanks of juice, when I fire the mod, I stop hearing the typical crackling sound and it just sizzles, which is followed by a harsh hit. This will continue until I change my wick out. I also noticed my that parts of my wick be really dark in Color while the other ones will be white.

Please help a newbie and thanks in advance :)

The white wick tips arent absorbing the liquid like the others, you need to loosen them inside the port, cut a "V" on your tips to ensure they are clogging the juice instead of wicking it.

His build isnt the issue, dryhits are 99.999% always a wicking issue.

Just make sure your coils are not touching the chamber cap/barrel when putting it on, even with perfect wicking that will cause dryhit as your cutting the resistance and the amount of coil that heats up (which in turn make one coil heat up crazy hot and everywhere else will heat normally...just in case..

This is all great information, especially that tutorial you linked. Please excuse my ignorance; I did try my best to find a fix on google before asking here on the forum.
Cheers to everyone for helping me :)
