By request:

TFA Brown Sugar Extra 3%
FA Custard 3%
FA Caramel 2%

I suspect that this recipe is similar to a creme brulee, but since I've never actually had creme brulee I can't say for sure. :D

I've been meaning to try this out as a base and add other flavors that might be found in a custard. But I never get around to it because I like it the way it is. When my new flavor order comes in I'm going to make a big bottle and may take a bit out and add some lemon.

If anybody tries adding to it, let us know how it turns out.

This does sound good! I'll get her mixed up in a few days when I get a break from all the children!

Thanks for posting this, Susan :) ( I was the requester!) This looks exactly my speed. And lemon sounds like a yummy addition. I will let you know when I mix it.

I've only done one custard recipe so far (two nights ago) and my impression is that it needs to sit, because it tastes very faint. I have a total of between 5-6% FA flavorings in it, which--at least for the other things I've tried, is certainly enough flavoring. Do you do anything to this recipe after you mix it?

I usually let it sit overnight. Then just vape it.

I will be trying this. Have TFA brown sugar, so may up the % a bit. To me the FA stuff is hard to figure. I think FA MUST steep, if not the %'s seem low to me & if I add more it's over powering.

I don't think it's a true steeping they need as blending. Lots of shaking may do it. I set them upside down overnight. If you walk by, give a vigorous shake, esp if it's a high VG mix.

Creme Brulee is a 5 star dessert. I have gone back and forth and back again trying to get that burnt sugar crust on the smooth vanilla custard. I'm going to try it with a toasted marshmallow because the toasted marshmallow when it just starts to darken reminds me of the crust. I'm thinking just a hint of butterscotch as well.

I was going to make 2 120 ml bottles of this tonight. I thought I had a new bottle of brown sugar. If I do I have hidden it from myself. I had enough for one though. I may still pull some out and try the lemon.

TFA has only one brown sugar. They just stopped called it extra.

Susan, I mixed this yesterday and spent all morning today vaping it. Very nice, sweet and simple! I plan on adding some lemon sicily (fa) to it after I've vaped it as is for a while and will update when I do. Thanks again for sharing.

I can't mix anymore until my brown sugar comes in which should be Friday. I'm getting a new bottle of VG with it so should be set for bit of experimenting.

OK thanks, I mixed it yesterday, gonna give it until tomorrow. I am vaping now, but don't seem like the flavors are right on yet.

It won't change from so-so to perfect. You'll likely have to tweak it to your tastes!

Hey @KillaGT , you.can't.get to JTJM creme brulee just using fa. Most vendor juice to me anyway is pretty far.from.fa. This is.a very nice recipie and a.great.custardy to have in ones book, but if you want JTJM, this isn't it.

I made a very small batch of this. It is off the chain. It is already gone. about to make 60 mil and let it steep for about 2 plus weeks. I know custards take a while to really come out.

So you are saying another good juice is dividing the caramel and make 1% caramel and 1% butterscotch?

@SusanP4 I did not have Brown Sugar Extra. If I added some additional Brown Sugar, think that might work?
TFA brown sugar extra is the brown sugar they have up on site. same product just dropped the "extra"

Thanks for this recipe, @SusanP4 !

Do you think the FA Custard could be replaced with either CAP Vanilla Custard V2, or TFA Vanilla Custard? Obviously it'd be a bit more vanilla-ery. I heard that the FA Custard has a citrusy note, so would it taste quite different without that?

If so, what sort of % of the other custard would you try?

I do plan to get FA Custard soon, as this is now the second recipe I wanted to try which uses it. But it'd be good to know how interchangeable these things are!

Thanks very much.

Each of those custards has a distinctly different taste. I think you could use them but it will be a different recipe. Everybody seems to have their favorite custard. The CAP is not my fav, but I can vape it. I don't think I've had the TFA.

Thanks for the immediate response! :)

OK fair enough, I'll get some FA Custard then. I might give this a go in the meantime with the Cap or TFA, just to see.

As a general rule, I should always use several times more Cap or TFA concentrate versus FA, right? Because FA is much stronger than the others, generally?

@TheBloke Generally I think that is true. But I only have a few non-FA flavors. Notice I didn't use a lot of TFA brown sugar in this one. Somewhere around here is a chart of suggested percentages for different flavors of different brands.

Thanks, @SusanP4 !

@efektt - that looks interesting, but I'm not sure how to read it? My German is a little.. well, non existent actually :)

Is the % column (in yellow) the suggested strength to use that flavour at? If so, is that when the flavour is the only ingredient, or would it apply to multi-ingredient recipes as well?

Unfortunately they don't have TFA Vanilla Custard listed, but they do have it from CAP, where they yellow column says 14.25% ! That's huge! :) Is it really that weak? Or am I misunderstand what that yellow column is for?

I don't pay much attention to that chart anymore, way too strong at this % IMO.
Better off looking around here for recommended percents or asking.
Recipe examples are a better place to start.

Good suggestion. Many people use the Caps at like 8-10%. I prefer 1-2%. I've seen a few people talking about the TFA Custard lately. Trying to recall who! @TheBloke, you should be able to find an option to translate the pages, either through your browers settings, or somewhere on the page. Chrome translates, but I haven't used IE or FF in a while, so can't say for sure.

This one definitely sounds good, especially with fruits! What if I were to go all FA flavors tho? I'm not certain they carry brown sugar, is there aN FA flavor that I could sub?

I was thinking eliquidmart, then VT for nic, VG/PG and syringes/pipettes. Unfortunately they don't carry TFA flavors, they do however have CAP.

Bull City has all of those things, including VT nic. So you would only have one shipping charge, too!

I've looked at BCV a few times, and every time I look they're out of the 120ml 100mg TH nic. I'm still trying to get started ;)
