You may want to try VT directly. Thats what I had to do and they were awesome to work with.I've looked at BCV a few times, and every time I look they're out of the 120ml 100mg TH nic. I'm still trying to get started

It's actually super easy to decant some VG into a paper cup, and bend the cup to a point, then pour VG from that 'spout' you made into a beaker/bottle on the scale. I do it this way all the time, and I'm accurate to 0.05g or so. You only have to slow down when you get to within 1g or so of your target. It's the fastest and simplest way to add VG to a mix, IMO.To dispense VG by a syringe, I would recommend a 14 gauge needle. I have a few and they do work better than the 18 gauge. I see Kidney puncher has stainless needles in 12 gauge and the reviews state people love it to dispense the thick VG with. I may pick up a few since I do use syringes to make my juices with. I like the scale idea but as @Huckleberried stated, you will have to pour very slowly in order to be accurate.

OK, thanks all!
I tried using the syringe without needle, but I could never reach it in far enough. I decant my VG and PG into 250ml colour-coded bottles (blue for PG, because it's chemical-y, green for VG because it's, well, green ) so that I don't have to keep pouring from the 1 litre source bottles (and such that any knock-over would be far less disastrous!) The downside is the neck is fairly narrow so I couldn't easily fit the 20ml syringe in there to use it without needle.
OK so you don't measure the volume at all? You're doing it by weight, on a scales, and you know the exact amount of VG you need in terms of weight? Actually of course that must be why all the recipe calculators show not just ml but also grams, right? According to the calc I have open, 25ml of VG weighs 31.53g.
Wow that's such a good idea actually. I have a suitable digital scales, I could pour the VG into anything. Hell, I wouldn't even need a paper cup - I could just put my destination bottle/jar on the scales, Tare it to 0.00, and then add the requisite delta amount of VG / PG by weight.
That's awesome! Please tell me I'm understanding all that correctly? because that sounds sooo much easier
Obviously I'll still need syringes and ml measures for ingredients, and perhaps nicotine, but I'm never making batches smaller than 50ml so I'm always going to have 30+ grams of VG and usually around 15 grams of PG, more than enough to measure out using a standard kitchen digital scales.
Glad I asked!!
I mix 100% by weight. If you want to understand the full possibilities of the method, check this out: Mixing by Weight Guide by @Botboy141. It's a great quick read.Awesome, thank you! I'm switching to that method immediately
I've used intermediate receptacles before, like 10ml and 30ml bottles to measure out VG in stages, before I found my plastic-tube needle method. The problem I found with it is that the VG is so damn sticky that it's a pain getting those last few drops out of the intermediate measuring device. That's my hesitation with a paper cup. Of course a cup is much easier than a bottle, which has a neck; with a cup I could almost scoop it out. But I think I'll still start off pouring direct into the destination bottle. I've solved the large source bottle problem already with my 250ml PG and VG bottles: I top those up from my 1 litre main bottle using a funnel, and then mix only from the 250mls.
Thanks so much again, that's going to be so much easier! I feel dumb now, I kept seeing those gram readings on the calcs and it didn't even occur to me to think why people might use those, even as I was struggling with getting VG through a tiny needle or into far too many intermediate bottles
Hi, @SusanP4 is this just fa custard and not the vanilla custard? Thanks in advanceBy request:
TFA Brown Sugar Extra 3%
FA Custard 3%
FA Caramel 2%
I suspect that this recipe is similar to a creme brulee, but since I've never actually had creme brulee I can't say for sure.
I've been meaning to try this out as a base and add other flavors that might be found in a custard. But I never get around to it because I like it the way it is. When my new flavor order comes in I'm going to make a big bottle and may take a bit out and add some lemon.
If anybody tries adding to it, let us know how it turns out.
Overseas vendor? Never seen that before, not anywhere I've shopped here anyway.View attachment 19374

They do but at ÂŁ10.50 Stirling it isn't cheap might be worth doing a group buy.Still interested in that FA vanilla custard....wonder if the website ships to the states?
I heard about this also but havent seen it. I'll get it even if I have to smuggle it in ha.My google-fu has failed to find a US distributor for fa vanilla custard. I remember reading that fa was going to have a US website in Q1 2015, but don't see it. Maybe @wllmc can find it for us.

No Idea, I have messaged the vendor, awaiting a response, it comes under the sweet category, it's definitely direct from FA Italy though not sure if it's specifically for the UK market though.is this one of the custom blends from FA UK ?

This is the response from FA UK.
"The Vanilla Custard is one blended by myself using FA standard flavours and is only available through FlavourArt UK.
FA Italy manufacture quite a few of the blended range for us exclusively, although if resellers wish to purchase in bulk
they can do subject to MOQ.

@SmokyBlue ok so I've mixed a 10ml batch at your suggested 2.5% it has a distinct lemon fragrance, I will let it sit over night and have a taste and report back

Thanks Carl! Sounds like it is still the same EU custard.. and it does taste really good, fresh or steeped
FA Custard is modeled after the Europe style of custard and the Capella custard is more American..
I like to combine them in bunches of different ways with things from fruits and nuts to sugars and breads
Was just curious, like others as to if your vanilla custard was the same FA custard, or not.. thanks again!
