The Batmobile in Batman v Superman is a bit different than the Tumbler seen in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, and Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder has been talking about a few of the differences.
In an interview on Conan, Snyder noted that Nolan's Batman "repurposed a military vehicle" to create the Tumbler. Meanwhile, Ben Affleck's new ride in Dawn of Justice was "purpose-built by Bruce Wayne to be the Batmobile," which, according to the director, "allows it to be slightly battier."
