Calling Independent Coil Builders- I Want You. (Yes, You)

If you are a coil builder and want to sell some coils, I would like to have a discussion with you. It should be no surprise that I have a lot of love for the VU family and want to offer some of your coils to the rest of the world.

If you want to make some coils, sell them to me so I can put them in the store and sell them for a good price and we both make some money. PM me so we can come to an arrangement. With teh amazing coil builders we have here, I would like to keep this inside of VU. If no one is interested I will reach out elsewhere.

I get 50% of my coils from builders here. Some I make and others are randoms that come with stuff.

So what you are planning to do is offer everyone's coils on a website or a local store? From what I've gathered with the original post you would be purchasing coils up front and then selling them yourself (correct?)
Are you determining prices or are you offering the coils at the builders pricing (with obvious added overhead/profit)

I would just like to get some of the meat cut up before jumping in....I have similar agreements with other business's in the past and some have worked out pretty well...others however did not...(usually do to greed)

I could be interested, but I don't want to get back to full on coil building again. I could supply you with all of your Fused Clapton coils, for instance. I already have pretty much every gauge available of KA1, N80, SS316L, as well as a bit of KD. Can pick up N90, SS317, etc. if needed, as well as any other necessary alloys you would like them made of.

Everyone that has expressed interest has been contacted. Looks like 3 are onboard with a possibility of two more.

In chatting with folks privately this seems like it might be a viable plan so here is what I was thinking of calling this and the front facing details.

Originally thinking for a name to call the whole thing the "Coil CO-OP" A Vaping underground maker to market project. Fine Handmade American coils from the independent artisans of the Vaping Underground Community.

There will be a seperate tab on the front page of the site and will feature a picture or some kind of logo of each maker and details about them and their coils they make. This will personalize those coils and show people who the hands are responsible for the goodness that they are using (or about to use). All sets of coils will be offered for the same price and the makers here control the output, get exposure to an audience that they might not have been exposed to otherwise and with each set of coils we will include details about the builder and a way to contact them directly for some of their more specialized builds.

Since my site traffic is growing steadily and very organically, I think this will be a really cool way for me to include a product that I dont presently have and, help our builders make some $ and show some love for VU and its inhabitants. The vast majority of the coils that I use come from right here on VU and I am quite happy with that. I expect others will be too once they know about it.

If any of the moderators/senior staff can get there hands on VU marketing material PM me so you can get my details and send me some and I will include it with each set fo coils sold from our makers here. My audience is largely not VU members so there is a potential of introducing new people to the community.

I love this idea, I'm on Fraliens and SSFCs. @jwill seems like a very genuine guy and the idea makes sense to me. I like the @raymo2u name "The Coil Coalition". If this happens it will be an honor to be associated with all of the builders involved because they are all incredible inspiring builders. @CrazyChef v2.0 @raymo2u @WPMac @VAPEROXX ... you can't make a better f**king team.

So the snake looks like shit as a 1 in sticker. Talked to my sticker people and had to simplify it tremendously. This will be what is stuck on the container. Thoughts? Its also blown up 200% for visability purposes. Ignore the pixelation

I didnt put much time into this but I think something as streamline as this would work rather well for the container stickers:

@VAPEROXX and @WPMac pictures are slowing started to match their talents for building, I have the impression that their pictures would match mine if they had better equipment to shoot with, their dedication to their hobbies speaks for itself.

True. But, you have to get them to the pictures first. The first thing everyone encounters is your name/logo. First impressions mean something.

There will be very nice photo work done for these coils. To give everything the same shine we are going to use the same cameras and lenses and lighting for everything being built presently.

I very much want there to be a visual uniformity for this project and this weekend I will be building a couple of stands from some cuts of east Texas red cedar that will be used as the base stand, for all images. That way when you hit the page your eyes do not immediately drift to one thing or whatever the shiniest thing or loudest image is.
