OK all, I'm trying to make the jump from mixing other people's stuff to my own recipes.

Here's one I've penned out so far, thought I'd run it past you all 1st to avoid that urrrrgh moment :)

TFA- strawberry ripe - 6%
FA - Raspberry - 2%
FA - Lime tahity - 1%
FA - Bilberry - 1%
FA - Marshmallow - 1%
TFA - Koolada - 1%

Im going for a nice refreshing fruity vape, with a touch of sour and kool.

How am I Iooking here? you think its worth a shot, any tweaks or obvious no no's there.

I do have a few creams, also FA pineapple and mango, have never tried the marshmallow yet, so though i'd leave those out this time as Im chugging a few creamy vape's already:)

Many thanks

I think it looks pretty good, but I do think the raspberry might take over everything. Just my experience, I find it really strong at 0.5% Wait for others to reply, though. Good combo of flavors, for sure!

I agree with Huck on the Raspberry.
But I'd be careful with the Bilberry too:D.

Not being familiar with the strawberry riped, myself, I don't know how that one will interact. IF the lime jumps out and bites you at first, DO NOTHING. Lime will calm down in a day or so.

Lime does fade. Most times I mix with it, I make a small bottle. You can always reboost it I suppose.

You rather want to be low on flavors, than too much. I usually make a 10 ml test mix in a 15 ml bottle, which leaves me plenty of space to add flavors, if needed. Once I have the recipe down, I mix either 60 ml, or 120 ml.

It's not to bad for a 1st shot, a little muddled tasting maybe , it's quite like a dark fruit taste almost like blackberrys!

The koolada sits nice on the background and the limes not too pronounced.

I think I need to strip the strawberry out and get a handle on the bilberry and raspberry % right see how that tastes then gradually add less strawberry more for a sweetness element than a main flavour.

I'm tired though, I'll let it sit and report back in the morning. The flavours do seem to have blended into a new flavour with nothing standing out too much in the mix. Gives me some hope one day I'll get there with a but more effort and understanding!

Try it the same way but without the Bilberry before you scrap it;).
And the Strawberry can sometimes take a week to "get right".

Keeping it simple with the flavors is working for me and as time goes by single flavors will start to naturally join together in my head and that is how I will create those new amazing flavors.

"Touch of sour" - I'd pick FA Lime Cold-Pressed (if you have it) over Tahiti for sour. Or maybe that plus FA Kiwi, given the other flavors there.

Thanks for the tip HiC but don't have cold pressed or kiwi in my ammo bag yet!

I just filled my serpent tank on a mini koopor 0.6ohm coil at about 17w.

Looking at my notes, I over shot the bilberry with a shakey trigger finger so it ended up at 1%.hence tasting quite dark.

On the whole it's pretty nice, I imagine although I've not tried it yet it's a bit like FA forest fruits!

I'm probably running before I can walk to be honest, need to mix some double /triple flavours first lol.

The flavour % seems about right to me to too little or too much, I'm pretty pleased with it will tweak and try some 5ml batches I think :)

I have tried tweaking as little as 1 ML using the tank! Whatever works for you is the best way to go about it. :gaah:

How do you go about that steve only knocking up 1ml of juice, sounds ideal!

I am mixing by weight btw, do you just use all VG and flavouring and no nic to test?

Please help me understand your working method.

Do you mean you mix it up in your tank???? :)

Many thanks

LL.

I was talking about tweaking an already prepared mix but it is possible to work with an ML especially since you are doing it by weight. What I was referring to was experimenting with an ML.
