Can I Use Samsung 25R's With This?

I have these coils from Horizon for the Phantom RTA. I have an iStick 100W on the way from eFun.Top. I already ordered the 25R's from Liion Wholesale. But they're rated @20A, with a 100A pulse rating. Is this going to present a problem for me? This is my first time using batteries that aren't inherent to the mod. The Ohm's Law calculator on Steam Engine says that 0.2Ω @ 70W draws 18.71 amps, but at 100W draws 22.36 amps.

The iStick 100W uses two batteries, splitting the power consumption between them. It takes a bit less than 20A max from one battery to run at 50 watts, so with two batts you're just fine to 100 watts.

BTW, you're better off to use the battery drain calculator for regulated mods rather than the ohm's law calculator. Use a battery voltage of 3V for a single batt, and 6V for dual batts. All that matters for battery draw in a VW mod is the watts set and the battery voltage. Attry resistance is irrelevant.

What they are saying is that at 70 watts a 25 amp battery is required. Which is correct for a single battery, however with two batteries in a VW mod the amps get split between them so each battery would need to be 12.5A. Your 20A batteries are safe up to 100 watts in a dual battery VW mod.

Yes and no

In a parallel mod like the istick, you'd have the load split between the two cells, and would consider the cutoff voltage to be 3.2V. That means the max amp draw is 100W ÷ 3.2 =31.25A. Two 20A in parallel will handle this load.

In a series mod, you're feeding the board more voltage, and so can reduce the current as what current remains will flow faster. 100W ÷ 6.4V = 15.625A. In series this amperage is being drawn from both batteries in unison.

Ignore the amperage warning on the coils. This does not apply to a VW device. It's the preferred amperage of cell for using them with a mech. Dead on 0.2ohm would be 21A on a mech with a charged battery.
