Can one becomes allergic to e-liquid?

I'm just wondering, can one suddenly become allergic to e-liquid? I've
been vaping for almost 4 years with no problem whatsoever until last week. I'm itching all over my body and it moves from places to places and when I scratch, the red rashes appear.

Suddenly I just couldn't see, while I'm not a scientists allergies usually don't sprout up out of the blue, correct me if I'm wrong though. Is it a particular flavor or all in general?

Why would you think it's eliquid? There are so many other reasons for rashes, and if you've been vaping for 4 years it's extremely unlikely it's due to vaping.

Could be the flavorings.
Some food flavorings I got that way.

Right now I really don't know. I change flavors (and vg/pg level) and brands all the time. And AmandaD, I surely am hoping you are right since I don't want to go back to tobacco.

Are you sure it's not poison ivy? It does sound a bit like that in that it's spreading.

Or it could just be some unknown virus - I used to get odd rashes all the time, but they disappeared once my daughter was born!

Thread moving to Vaping Health Related.

I would make a Dr. appt to have it checked out. Weird food allergies to things you've eaten all your life, and even medicines you've never been allergic to before can suddenly turn on you. I'd be surprised, too,if it's from vaping, since you've been vaping such a long time, but weird things do happen. Only a Dr can really tell you for sure.

That itchy rash could be from multiple things.
Eczema, Pruritus*, Shingles, Bed Bugs, Poison Ivy just to name a few.

*Most likely and before you google it's just itchy skin every body gets this to some degree.Just go have a nice shower and drip-dry.

Oh! This could get interesting.

Getting popcorn and a beanbag. Don't start without me.

To the OP, it's fall. Dry skin is common, it can show up as itchy red spots or look like a rash (i fscratched enough).

But see a doctor if it gets worse.

I've done most of your suggestions and no, haven't acquired services of any prost. for ages now, at least 30+ years, since before my oldest daughter was born.
But thanks to y'all. I went to see a doctor yesterday and ate and apply some medications already. I will wait and see, if the condition doesn't improve, I'll go to the hospital for a complete check up tomorrow.

you could absolutely develop an allergy to something. another thing that could happen is that you've never been exposed to the amount of allergen before. for example you could eat oranges your whole life without a problem then one day eat 10 oranges in a row and have a reaction. in this case you couldve increased the volume of liquid you used increasing your exposure to VG. or used a higher VG juice. that last one happened to a friend. had been using 50/50 juice then tried a 70vg/30 juice for a couple days and noticed hives. ended up being a VG sensitivity
